"I can not say enough positive things about Mark Patrick owner of Affordable Concrete! I called him early on Monday, by 12:30 he was at my house to give me a quote. It was a fair price and I hired him. He told me he would be at my house at 6:30am on Wednesday, two days later!! He showed up on time, went right to work and completed the patio promptly. I am very pleased with his work, it is exactly what I wanted. He was very kind, and polite. He cleaned up great after the job was complete. I would absolutely hire Mike again for any concrete jobs!!!!"

"The rotting door frame looks great...they discovered more rotting wood when they got into it and replaced that as well. They sealed all the areas and repainted the frame so it looks like new. As for the floor, Steve quoted a 'worst case' scenario, and once into the job, found it wouldn't be the worst case (hooray). He and his team replaced the floor, sub-floor and put down the tile, grouted and added got everything wrapped up quickly. <br /> I was impressed on the first day: Steve outlined the plan to his crew and they got right to work - one person on the door frame and the other two on the bathroom. Within 45 minutes, the tile was off the floor and they showed me the extent of the rot in the bathroom...same for the door. <br /> They were here for 4.5 hours on the first day and a 90 minutes on the second day - quick, efficient and complete. <br /> I'll add that Steve was very personable, professional and helped me to understand the back-story behind the repairs. I will gladly recommend Steve to anyone that asks (I come across folks needing repairs), and we will use him again. <br />"

"My choice of repairing and resurfacing my driveway rather than to break up the concrete and pour a replacement was based on the fact that the several cracks in the driveway had experienced no new activity for a long time and that the cracks were horizontal, not vertical. The crack repair work was done very carefully and then sealant applied, the repaired cracks were taped and a complete driveway sealant applied. Following that, a design (base coat) surface was applied and finally a sealant was applied over the design surface. Two days of drying was necessary after the final coat before I drove over the driveway. The final product was better than I had expected and was less costly than to replace and pour a new driveway. <br />"

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Stockton, AL

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
