"After several attempts to just hire Golden Hill Landscaping & Construction (during a bid process), I finally did. The rates seemed comparable, at first. However, there were many projects to be completed at my deceased mother's house. Because I am disabled and not able to get to the property, I couldn't see how badly I was taken advantage of. Not only did I pay for a job they did not do, I also paid for another job that is unfinished, plus a french drain that is causing a sink hole, and the buried equipment is now above ground. All 3 of these projects pose safety risks. The french drain collapse is only a few months after installation. After bringing these issues to the owners attention (the unfinished project I'd requested be completed for months), the owner began ignoring me. When I mentioned that litigation was going to move forward, the owner said he'd look at the work that week then blew me off again. When they actually do work, Golden Hill's quality of work is atrocious and will need to be fixed. They broke the house vinyl siding when cutting down a tree branch and refused to fix it. I hired a contractor to fix that. They will overcharge (snowplowing is expensive), take advantage of you if you are a senior or disabled, and will try to get paid without working. They should not be in business and allowed to take advantage. I now have to pay someone else to fix their work, finish their work, and do a $375 job they never did. They've been paid over $10,000, with more work to be done at multiple properties. They agreed to do a quote at a second property, then never showed up. One would figure, with that kind if business, a company would want to perform quality work and respond to a dedicated customer. Aroldo at Golden Hill Landscaping & Construction will do a poor job or not at all, blow off appointments, ignore requests, and refuse to fix problems. He will, however, not hesitate to pick up a check. You should not ever hire them. If you do, be prepared to throw money away."

"Roberto and his crew did an outstanding job! We usually do all of our hedge abs shrub trimming ourselves, but with a few other projects going on we hadn’t gotten them all season long and they were seriously overgrown. Since we COULD do it ourselves, we had a limit on what we were willing to pay, so we were getting several quotes … most of which were higher than we had hoped. Roberto worked with us on the pricing, which was good news because now it was off of our plate! His crew was there the early next day … fast, friendly, courteous, conscientious and neat! We are now looking to have Roberto and his crew back to take a few more projects off of our plate too! "Leisha and the team at Garden’s by the Yard helped me address some very difficult landscaping issues. Our lot borders conservation land and is slopped and extremely rocky. In addition, it is not accessible to heavy machinery. We experienced significant drainage and erosion issues. The team put in two French drains to help with erosion and Leisha developed a planting plan that leaned toward natives, would provide multiple season colors, aid in water control and would thrive in our complex soil conditions. They also installed an irrigation system to help set us up for success. The team has returned multiple times to check on the plantings and provide additional upkeep and guidance The yard turned out beautiful and I am extremely pleased. Leisha and her team were knowledgeable and easy to work with. The crews were hard-working and extremely respectful of our property."

"They built two great projects for me so far. In 2019 they built a 14x12 chicken run onto my existing Reeds Ferry Shed 14x20 coop. In 2022 they built a 34x30 garage addition with apartment above."

"Addendum to my last review: When the septic pump failed, we discovered how many corners were cut. Instead of a septic pump, a sump pump (for rainwater) was installed with the 1½ inch pipe joined to a 2 inch pipe to make it look like it was supposed to. There was no coupler on the pipe leading to the distribution box, necessitating cutting the pipe to get the sump pump out. No check valve. Do NOT use this guy."

"Amazing! Lee is a pleasure to work with and is super diligent about his efforts. He took hours to walk our yard and woods to find and treat all poison ivy on the ground and in the trees (we have a big property and had a lot). Lee found it all and then on his return trip to ensure all is eliminated he treated anything new or if he had missed any. We're happy to say its all gone now and we couldn't be happier. Thanks Lee for being diligent and being very careful about treating just the plants and vines so as not to harm anything else. Thanks so much!!!"

"We were referred to J&J by our landscape architect, who promised that this company is exceptionally detailed, very client-focused, and above all, quite nice. We were also told that J&J has a particular devotion to clients, in that they make projects as personalized as possible to ensure that the client is content and that the plants grow. Our project involved planting at least a dozen large-ish trees and hundreds of perennials and shrubs on our lot. On planting day, there were at least fifteen highly professional landscapers who sited the plants, dug the planting holes so that there would be both a berm around them and a slight depression to optimize watering, and then watered everything. It took almost the entire day to do this, and afterwards, our yard was transformed. The folks at J&J have come back to review their work over the last two years and have provided guidance on watering, pruning, and yard care to us on each visit. They are really exceptional."

"Very fittingly - Wind River's customer service absolutely STINKS. We used this company for nearly 15 years to service our septic and they consistently did a good job. However, they broke one of the covers to our septic system during their most recent cleaning and, despite repeated calls/requests that they fix the issue, they still have not done so three months later. We now have to find another provider."
