"Someone from Moving Dawgs came to my apartment and gave me a quote on moving the contents from Avon to Carmel. <br /> <br />When the day of moving arrived, two friendly young guys showed up. They immediately walked through my apartment, took an assessment of all the boxes, saw my very heavy bedroom furniture and commented on how there should have been three people sent to move me instead of just two. <br /> <br />The guys did a great job of getting everything loaded, but it took them about three hours. (And this was only the contents of one person; I'm glad there was no one else to move!) They were respectful and careful with my belongings and they hustled the entire time. <br /> <br />By they time they reached my final destination with my furniture, I knew this was going to go way over the price I was quoted. And judging by their reaction to the stairs leading to my new place, they were not expecting to haul everything upstairs, either. Luckily I had a friend drop by and he helped them unload items off the truck; if he hadn't been there I'm not sure how long the entire move would have taken. <br /> <br />All in all, the movers themselves were fantastic, but there could have been more foresight and planning at the very beginning of the process to make sure there were enough resources available. In addition, it would have been nice to receive a confirmation call the day before the move. Because, let's face it, moving is stressful. Instead, I called Moving Dawgs myself for no other reason than peace of mind that I was still on their schedule. <br />"
