My kitchen and hallway were so dark that I needed to keep lights on all day. The solatubes are round and match my recessed lighting. I don't need to turn the lights on until evening. The brightness was a little much for me at first, so he put filters in which softened the light. I would recommend solatubes to add natural lighting to a room.
