"I’d love to leave a 0 star review if I could. The level of disorganization and miscommunication with this company has been staggering. Their customer service is garbage. Don’t waste your time, money, or energy on this company. False promises and sub-par work across the board. We will gladly take our business elsewhere in the future. We had an initial consultation with someone named Darren for a heat pump/furnace replacement. We also lumped in a sub-panel install & dryer replacement. Darren assured us that everything would go smoothly, all the work would get done over the next week. The HVAC & electrical teams showed up several days earlier than expected, which sounds great in theory, but required us to take an unexpected day off work. The wiring they ran to the thermostat was installed hap-hazardly and now just dangles off the HVAC plumbing. The electrical team installed the sub-panel, but installed it too close to our irrigation control box. Now we can’t open the door to the irrigation control box. The electrical team also installed an outlet for the new dryer in a location we wanted, but left the rest for a plumber to finish. When the plumber showed up a week later, he said the dryer could not be installed in that location. He then tried to charge us for additional work that we already had paid for in our initial contract with Darren. (He did actually charge us to cap the gas line to the old dryer). Multiple teams also told us they would haul away our old dryer. That never happened. On top of everything else, we were told (multiple times by Darren and the HVAC team) that, as a part of our 3 year maintenance plan, they would come back quarterly to install a new filter on the furnace. When we called about that today, we were told “that’s not a service we’ve ever offered.” The customer service is absolute garbage. We already feel cheated out of the money the plumber charged us. You’d think after all this, the least they could do is toss in a few filters. We’ll never use this company again. I’d caution anyone else to get EVERYTHING written out in detail before you do business with this company. Better yet, just go to someone else."

You need an electrician to install a ceiling fan if new wiring or circuit modifications are required. Installing a ceiling fan involves electrical and mechanical expertise, and working with electricity can be dangerous without proper experience. If replacing an existing fan or light fixture where wiring is already in place, a handyperson can perform the installation. However, for new installations, complex setups, or any situation involving electrical work, it's essential to hire a local licensed electrician to ensure the job is done safely and complies with local codes.
You should get a ceiling fan that matches the decor of your home. Out-of-place styles stick out and may detract from the home's resale value later. If you're unsure which design to go with, talk to an interior designer.
Interior decorators cost around $2,000 to $12,000, but they create a plan for your entire home. You can choose from every possible style, from traditional carved oak to slick stainless steel to fans resembling old airplane propellers.
The size of your room will dictate the appropriate fan size. For exceptionally large rooms, consider installing more than one ceiling fan. Use the following guidelines to determine the fan size you should purchase based on your room's size:
For rooms up to 75 square feet, choose a fan with a blade span of 29–36 inches.
For rooms 80–175 square feet, choose a fan with a blade span of 42–48 inches.
For rooms 180–350 square feet, choose a fan with a blade span of 52–56 inches.
For rooms larger than 350 square feet, choose a fan with a blade span of 60 inches or larger.
A fan costs around $44 to $88 annually if you run it nonstop. That's assuming it costs about $0.05 to $0.09 to run a fan every hour based on a range of 50 to 80 kilowatts per hour and an average national rate of $0.11 per kilowatt hour for electricity.
Installing a ceiling fan involves several steps:
Turn off the power at the breaker box.
Remove the old fixture and disconnect wiring.
Install support braces if needed.
Attach the new fan housing to the existing box.
Connect the wiring according to code and manufacturer instructions.
Assemble the fan components.
Restore power and test the fan.
