"We could not be more pleased with the outstanding work done by Van Dusen Exteriors. Every interaction with every employee, from start to finish, was positive and professional. Over the course of two days, their prompt, courteous and hard-working crew tore off two layers of shingles, replaced three skylights including matching interior trim, and installed a beautiful new roof on the house, breezeway and garage. They made sure that the deck and windows were protected during the removal of the old roof, and left both deck and yard in pristine condition when the job was done. They also left us with some delicious baked goods as a thank you for our business :) We got half a dozen estimates from other roofers, and while Van Dusen's price was very reasonable, we also chose them because of their stellar reputation, which they more than lived up to. It was a pleasure to work with a contractor that exemplifies professionalism, honesty, integrity, and customer service. We highly recommend Van Dusen Exteriors."

"This was an Angie's List deal. After this past winter, recent rain storms, tornado warning and hail in Tully, I decided to purchase the roof maintenance package to have my roof inspected and maintained. I purchased the roof maintenance deal on 6/16 and Paul from G&J was able to come to the house on 6/17, the next day. They found and corrected minor issues (cracks, raised nails) and replaced a few missing shingles. Paul assured me that having done this roof maintenance will help to extend the life of the roof for a few more years, but said that a roof replacement would be needed in the next 3 to 5 years. The estimated cost would be around $18k for the roof replacement. Though, I wasn't happy to hear about the roof replacement, I was glad to have done the minor roof repairs that bought me some time to save for the roof replacement.
While they were here, I asked about repairing a detached fascia board that held some gutters and if a cracked skylight needed to be replaced. They will setup a time to repair the detached board (estimate $550). The cracked skylight did not need immediate replacement since the inner window was still intact and the plastic membrane still seemed to be intact - preventing water from coming in. At some point, the skylight will need to be replaced, but the need was not immediate.

"As a disabled homeowner on a fixed and limited income, I am dependent on the professionalism and workmanship from quality contractors who I can trust. Finding someone who was willing to work on a small repair to the cupola of my steep roof was proving to be a challenge until I found Chris Marshall on Angie's List. When I contacted Chris he came to my home the very same day to give me a firm estimate so that I could budget for this repair before winter. His estimate was fair and complete. He was very friendly and personable but what impressed me most was how thorough he was in explaining how he would repair the cupola. His detailed explanation made me feel confident I would not have to make more repairs for years to come. Chris was very prompt about answering my questions and returning my calls to schedule the project. Chris understood the urgency of repairing this portion of my roof before winter weather arrived. On the first sunny day that I had room my schedule, he arrived promptly at 3 p.m. as we agreed because I wanted to be here while he worked. I was impressed with how efficiently he completed this project. Within an hour and 20 minutes Chris and his helper we're able to remove the existing shingles, nails and debris from the cupola. He installed new ice and water shield barrier and new architectural shingles and finished it off with ridge caps and replaced my original weather vane. More importantly every piece of debris was removed and picked up so I didn't have to clean up nails or broken shingles. I could not believe how carefully and quickly they worked as a team to get this job done. I am so relieved that this part of my roof is repaired. I have programmed his number in my phone for any of my home contracting needs. And he will be the first contractor I call for any future jobs that I have. I would not hesitate to refer him to any of my family or friends. His prices are fair. He is trustworthy. He is efficient and thorough. Kudos on a job well done and many thanks and prayers of gratitude! Thank you Marshall Contracting!"
