"WARNING: We recently got new kitchen cabinets, countertops & backsplash installed. Hired Jason to paint our kitchen walls, patch & paint ceiling, paint the area that flows into the eating area & family rm. He was supposed to paint the baseboards in the kitchen, the crown molding didn’t need to be painted. We also wanted him to paint the outdoor 2nd story shutters. The 1st day he had most of the stuff covered & taped off pretty well. There were several planned days before he was coming back for the 2nd day. We had stressed to him numerous times to make sure everything is covered & protected in the kitchen, he got small paint drips splatter on our new cabinets and quartz countertops. He had spilled paint on our floor & didn’t get it all cleaned up. He didn’t tape off the edges of plantation shutters & got paint along all the sides & splatter speaks on them. I had to loan him a smaller slanted edge paint brush to cut into the edge of the trim b/c he only had a huge fat brush. He used my kitchen sponge without asking me to scrub the paint off the trim of the shutters. He still didn’t get all the paint off. He had opened paint cans on our quarts countertop & on the floor w/o anything protecting those surfaces, until I said something to him. He went upstairs & used our wash machine to wash some of his clothes b/c he said he has spelt paint on them when my husband confronted him about using our wash machine w/o asking us. I had to buy additional paint for our crown molding b/c he didn’t tape it off & got paint on it. He didn’t bring his own tall ladder for the 2nd story shutters, so he took our 8 ft. ladder to use, but my husband told him not to use it b/c it isn’t tall enough to get on roof. Despite that, after the ladder was put back into garage he got it out again & used to get onto the roof & broke a couple tiles pushing himself up. He had to stop painting b/c it started to rain. Before his 3rd day coming out, I reminded him to bring his 10 ft ladder, which he did. We were wondering why he kept going in & out of the door to the garage, he said, he was taking paint cans into there, but he also had used my paint container & a new liner that were in my paint cabinet w/o asking, to paint the outdoor shutters. We didn’t even have him paint the baseboards in the kitchen b/c the stress of him getting paint on surfaces that weren’t meant to be painted was becoming so stressful, that my husband just paid him to go. I still have to paint the baseboards & paint an area of the molding on top of our cabinets b/c he pulled the corner apart when he was using it to leverage himself further back. He fixed the corner, though it still needs paint. This entire experience was so stressful & I don’t want anyone else to have to go through the same thing we went through."
