"Sean was extremely professional, courteous, and personable from our first meeting. He worked with us to make sure the design was just right, including a complete redesign of two areas when we weren't pleased with the first few drawings. The plants were installed professionally and the team moved quickly once the plants were in. Having now lived with the landscaping for 2 years we are even more pleased with how well things have turned out and how responsive Sean and Dan have been to taking care of remaining issues (including replacing all plants that died). Garden Art is not the cheapest game in town, but they are surely one of the best in terms of quality and service. Our one quibble has been at times the response to our questions or inquiries have been slow (mostly during the and quot;offand quot; season). Not in terms of how they handled our landscaping, but in moving forward our project in terms of planning. Overall though, we are absolutely thrilled with our landscaping. <br />"

"I wrote an earlier review about the service from "A Beautiful Lawn" back in July. It focused on the lack of responsiveness, particularly on billing. Those issues have been completely resolved. The owner has been out to our home and together, we developed a plan for our lawn and landscaping needs. As of now, I am pleased to say that we are back on track with all of those plans including the billing issues I mentioned in the July review."

"Excellent work. Bid and project scoping phase experience were excellent. Price was very competitive, relative to other contractors. I am still amazed that a 20' x 20' wood deck can be demoed, excavated and base material set, pavers and walls installed essentially ready to use in less than 5 days! Shane and crew are focused on the job and have good attention to detail. Being new to pavers, Shane provided excellent advice on our original design, to add a perimeter wall and off patio location for our grill. Both have enhanced the space."

"Schumann was very professional, met with us a few times in order to get the plans perfect.  He made recommendations that improved the houses curbside look dramatically, and we would have never been able to come up with a plan like his on our own.  It is now 5 years later, and his paved pathway is holding up strong and it still looks great.  He is very good at what he does, and efficient as well.  We did not have a lot of money at the time, so he worked with us and gave us his plans in order for us to do the bush planting ourselves and save some money.  He explained how we should do it.  We really appreciated his understanding, and his professionalism.  The curbside appeal of our house is 10x better now."

"Dean with Lawn and Shrub initially visited our home prior to the beginning of excavation on our swimming pool. During that visit he noted the location of the existing irrigation system and we discussed the proposed timeline of our project. During the summer, they visited several times to ensure that we were never waiting on them. Once the pool and hardscape were complete, Lawn and Shrub was soon on site to finalize the irrigation. As they began, they quickly discovered many issues with the original installation that required the rewiring and movement of several control pits. Despite the additional work required, they still completed the project in a matter of days including working on a Saturday (after gaining our permission to be onsite during a weekend.) I would highly recommend Lawn and Shrub from both a workmanship and price standpoint. <br />"

"Fox was called to deliver 40 tons of crushed stone to replenish our driveway which has been neglected for a few years. The dispatcher scheduled a delivery of the product of our choice and the trucks arrived on time. We had a couple of extra requests that the drivers has no problem fulfilling. They accepted a check and very skillfully repaved our drive with gravel. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Templeton, IN

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
