"North-Eastern did exactly what I asked them to do for a reasonable price, taking down two difficult trees and trimming 2 others. I was not made aware ahead of time that the crew would need to bring a heavy-duty bucket truck through my backyard to do the work. As a result, some deep tire tracks and depressions were left on my lawn. In addition, the crew left beind several small branches. Thus, I could only give them 4 stars."

"I could not be happier with my choice. Shawn was professional, friendly, and knowlegable from first contact. He was not the cheapest nor the most expensive estimate I received to complete the work. His quote included more than the cheaper and more expensive estimates I had received. Once hired he began immediately and removed the trees from the house in the first day. It took a little time to complete the job but his concern was the ruin of a lawn in pristine condition. He waited for the ground to dry before starting the portion of the work that required heavy equipment. The lot is also on a very steep downward angle . I feel that he completed the job in a timely manner considering that the weather continued to work against him. Upon finishing he left the property in excellent condition. He removed the 7 foot diameter root ball as well so one would never know the wreck it all had been . The only tell tale sign is where he graded, seeded, and fertilized the portion on the yard where the trees had fallen and gouged the ground."

"They did seem very knowledgeable and if we were going to spend $13,000 we would have hired them. Another estimate was over $11,000 so they were not too far off. They were very responsive. We were just sorry that we couldn't afford to use them. We would definitely like to use them in the future."

"<p>The actual work done was satisfactory, just incomplete: the shrubbery was largely removed (some vegetation left but little enough that I will be able to get the rest out myself), The trees that were supposed to be taken down were taken down, and only one tree was taken down that I wasn't expecting, but I had told them "when in doubt, take it out", so I have no complaint with that. </p> <p>One significant problem for me is that my understanding was that the original agreement included grinding the stumps of the trees taken down around the house, especially over the end of my leach field, so that the guy who cuts my grass could mow everywhere there had been overgrowth.  However, the stumps of none of the trees were ground down (only the three Rose-of-Sharon bushes at the corner of the house), and I was quoted an additional charge to do the tree stumps.  Then when they did come out to grind the stumps of the trees down, I wasn't home and they only did three small tree stumps in the front yard (for which they are charging me $75), and none of the ones at the end of leach field that I understood to be included in the additional quote. The stumps confusion was all verbal--I've learned my lesson: have a detailed, written, counter-signed contract, no matter how great the person you are dealing with seems to be). </p> <p>Finally, I had got a quote from them for resurfacing my driveway with gravel. Again there was confusion about what was going to be done (whether it would be scraped down first or not, given that there's a large rock at the surface across the width of the driveway, and for this I have a complete email chain so I'm clear that I am not the source of the confusion). There was further confusion about when the work would be done. Lastly I have learned that the quote is high compared to what my neighbors have paid for comparably sized driveways, so I'm going to resume shopping around.  I'd have been willing to pay it, however, if I'd been confident of a good job, and no confusion about what I was or was not paying for.  The repeated 'surprises' were not reassuring, however, and I have decided that I will not have any further work done by them.</p>"

"Jason and team helped us out after a leaky toilet damaged some drywall below. They were great to work with, receptive to changes and did a wonderful job. We were looking for quality and feel that we got what we paid for. We plan to use them again for future projects."

"Hannah drew up a plan for my yard, placing shrubs and trees where they would grow in the best light and sizes. Hannah and Jordan have executed the plan beautifully. My yard looks amazing and I will definitely hire them again."
