"We pay quite a lot for this service. They don't apply weed killer around retaining walls by the sidewalk or on our gravel path.  They send someone different out every time, and while the lawn looked good the first summer, it's now looking horrible.  Once someone said it was dry and sunny out, and as he was finishing up applying, it started to pour down raining.  Every time there is an issue with the lawn and we call to discuss it-such as "the lawn has turned hideous and brown the day after you applied weed killer" or "you said you'd slit seed the back yard and you just went back there and tossed seed down (which we did and it didn't work), they make up one excuse after another as to why this isn't their doing or why it didn't work (it's too shady).  That might be the case, however, you shouldn't have SEEDED the lawn in the first place if you knew it was too shady.  At least give me my money back.  But no, it's not their fault, so you pay no matter what.  Sure, they'll send someone out immediately to "look at it", but they don't do much to address any issues.  They are VERY expensive for not only the weed/feed but also lawn mowing.  My yard is MAYBE 600 square feet, and they wanted 50 dollars just to mow.  It's a 10 minute job.  I would recommend you find another company for this service unless you like wasting your money. <br />"

"The tech i had was nice but wasn't knowledgeable about my problem. They have a guarantee that if you are not satisfied they come out and treat your lawn again. My tech treated my lawn about 3-4 times before I fired the company. The manager came out and looked at the lawn. He said it was a sod web worm and that needed to be treated in the spring. I was frustrated that my tech did not know this. The manager offered me a and quot;Manager's Discountand quot; and when comparing prices his discount was still about $80 higher than Scott's Lawn. So I chose to try Scott's Lawn Care <br /> <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> After Posting this I received a call from Mr. McDonald the New Head Manager at my local Office. He called to apologize for my service. He didn't ask to return to the company, He just called to make his sincerest apology. I Think that takes Guts. I asked him a bit about what changes are being made under the new management and from what I hear things are good. Scotts has been good to me and should things not work for me with Scotts........I think I may give TruGreen another shot."
