"I hired Vanir landscapes to put a wall aesthetic type feel to my back stone patio. The process was extremely smooth and the team was extremely professional and educated. Once we picked everything out and he knew what I wanted. The team installed a beautiful retaining wall that not only looked exactly like what & was wanting, but started and constructed the wall in less than a day. They’re professional, easy to work with, their work ethic is top tier, and they do the job with critical precision. I’m very happy with there work and will be hiring them for more projects. I highly recommend Vanir landscapes "

"Scott and his crew had made a bed for us in 2012. He put part of it on Verizon's landing spot after I told him not to.  It looked nice but Verizon complained and so I had to pay him more to remove the edge and reshape it.  Also in 2015 we contracted to build  a new bed along a chain link fence.  The area is low and needed to be built up.  I asked him to kill the grass before he began but he said it would die from the soil on top.  Well it didn't and now I have to contend with killing the grass among the shrubs.  Also he didn't make the bed deep enough and the wetness killed the shrubs so I have to have the bed made deeper and replace the shrubs. <br />"

"I love Home Depot. I use them for everything. I use them regularly and for various things like doors installed recently. I have had whole lot of work done by them. If I have to buy home products then I generally check for Home Depot first and I couldn't be happier with them and that's why I keep going there. I am always very pleased and at least the store that I deal with go up above and beyond because number of times they have done that to satisfy their customer. I usually do all things myself and they have assisted me in doing that without charge. I have bought a gazebo in the beginning of summer and it was here for five weeks. As I was unable to get it together I called them up and asked them if they could give me any introduction or any help. Then they send two of the boys out and they put it all together and refused to take a penny for it because it was not part of their service but they just did it. In number of cases they have done that and gone above and beyond the necessary. I actually found yesterday that Home Decorating was affiliated to Home Depot as I had ordered bedding online and I was very pleased that it was part of Home Depot. I do not know whether it is the same for all locations or it is because of the manager of my specific location but they are very good. I am a regular customer. When I went to buy the doors the sales person couldn't be nicer as he sat down with me and explained everything in detail as to what to buy. So I couldn't be happier."

"They showed up and removed trees that became a safety hazard after a wind storm. Had a response time of 45 minutes and had saws started within about 10 minutes. The price in my opinion was unbeatable. They also took a few dead limbs out of another tree that they seen while in the other tree that were unsafe also For just a few more dollars. Not to mention this was also a Sunday afternoon."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Tonawanda, NY

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
