"I had such an incredible experience with Brandon and Oz that I truly felt compelled to write a review. It seems like artificial grass is the new way to go - once I did my research the list of pros just went on and on. **The process - I called a few local companies and Encore Builders was actually the last to come out (I guess its true they save the best for last). Brandon and Oz came out together and took measurements of my front yard. We recently installed some fencing so I wanted everything to look fresh and new. They came up with a fabulous idea of an arched driveway with some stepping stones through the artificial turf (see photos). They gave me a quote on the spot and I instantly knew they were the right company. You can tell they are honest people who are not trying to just take your money. They love what they do. The price was extremely competitive compared to the other companies that came out. IN ADDITION - they are the only company to come up with a beautiful landscaping idea that made my front yard absolutely stunning. **The project - The project was quick and painless. Two day job. Crews arrived in the morning - respectfully parked trucks on the street and everyone was super awesome (friendly reminder to have water on hand for your hard workers in the California heat!!). They left everything SPOTLESS and the turf looks gorgeous!!! **The pros - artificial turf was a great solution for us due to the low maintenance. We love to utilize both our front and back yard (hosting, kids playing, etc) and we wanted something we could enjoy year round without an expensive upkeep. Also, now that water and electricity bills are up - we knew we had to find a cheaper solution. Bye bye sprinklers!! No need for mowing, watering, or fertilizing here!!! I honestly don't see any cons - artificial grass was the right move for us and I could not be happier with the results. THANK YOU BRANDON AND OZ!!!! "Having managed dozens of renovations over the years, both commercial and residential, I can say that Joe Messineo is the best contractor I have ever hired, in any craft. No minor distinction. A 3rd generation master stone mason, Joe is an old school modern craftsman who produces quality builds. I engaged him to demolish and rebuild virtually all of the hardscape at my home---driveway, side walkways, French drain, brick patio inserts, and over 150 feet of retaining walls. A 7-week job, with more than a few moving parts. Joe’s team, Enrique and Claudio, worked like stunt men in a choreographed manner, carefully removing thousands of pounds of old concrete and cinder blocks, positioning rebar and framing the sites for cement. The worksite was clean and orderly at the end of each day. Then, 2 generations of Messineo---Joe, with a guest appearance by his father, built a complex series of retaining walls and brick inserts, that will clearly last decades longer than the original work from 1959. Every line dead-level, every elevation plumb, and every surface finished perfectly. The concrete team that completed the job with 2 truckloads of wet mix, delivered flawless slabs of new surface. Their overall level of craftsmanship and professionalism is not often to be seen these days, and it deserves recognition when it arrives."

"We had few remodeling projects that we needed done for our home and from the beginning, our project manager, Jacob, did not disappoint us. Jacob and his team were professional, kind, and always took the time to discuss our needs about some changes we wanted to make. Jacob gave us many suggestions and ideas and we quickly got to work. We needed several things done on the inside of our home, but also in the backyard and front driveway. Jacob and his team transformed the floors, yard and driveway into a more modern, beautifully put a together work of art. Some of this work included making cement repairs and changing the driveway from stone to concrete. A bunch of the bricks in the yard were damaged and old and Jacob’s team could redo the walls and floors with the new brick color we selected. We could immediately see a difference as they payed so much attention to detail in lining everything up perfectly and we could tell that they had a lot of experience. We also changed some of the flooring in the inside of our home, which came out just as great. Overall, very professional and efficient work, good communication and always showing up to work."

I contacted several vendors to get the walkway concrete replaced. Mike powers was the most responsive vendor, even more surprising since he had a long backlog of work already scheduled. He was honest about his schedule and timing, and understanding when I was able to get the work done by another vendor just prior to family and weather arriving.
