"It is going well. Chuck is an artist in building custom made cabinets for my kitchen. The original kitchen was not laid out well and with Chuck's expertise, we have redesigned a kitchen that will work for me and increase the lay out to be in the modern world, 21st century. I know that Chuck does other refinishing of wood products, etc., but I did not use him for that. I used him totally to redo my kitchen making and installing brand new cabinets with pull out drawers, European door pulls. Beautiful work and craftsmanship. <br />"

"The Granite business can be a real racket. Most places either don't have the product you want, or don't want to be bothered with smaller jobs. After searching about a dozen companies, we stumbled on GP, and were happy to see a different attitude. The folks at GP have really thought a lot about the business, and have a much better business model than the rest of the field. They have a great selection of materials, and most of the materials are pre-cut for kitchen and bath applications. No more dealing with one company for large slabs you don't need, and then another company for cutting and installation. They do it all, and with good service. We picked out the materials nearly exactly the size we needed. They then arranged for installation people, who worked well with our general contractor to get the job done on site in an afternoon. "

"<p>Problem: 2 car garage filled with boxes and furniture from recent move.</p> <p>Goal: Make room in garage for car before winter; move some furniture items into the house.</p> <p>Solution: Fabian and Steve accomplished everything necessary in two hours including: assembling shelves, moving smaller boxes to shelves, re-stacking larger boxes, moving half dozen larger items (exercise bike, cedar chests, lounge chair, etc.) into house.</p> <p>Comment: My helpers were very efficient, as I knew them to be from a previous move. They work hard, fast and are careful not to damage things or create a mess. I certainly plan on using them again in the future. </p> <p></p>"

"<p>For the past year I had been contemplating adding a gated entrance and coyote fence to make my property a bit more private. I understood this was going to be quite an expensive job so I took my time getting estimates to save some money. I really wanted to make sure I did not sacrifice quality. I saw an ad hanging on the bulletin at the coffe shop in the San Busco center for these guys and decided to give them a call.</p> <p>Long story short, I am a straight shooter and like to get to the point quickly. I called them up and spoke to Eddie. He agreed to come out and take a look at the property and give an estimate. The wall I wanted was to be 6 ft high. I also wanted pillars and a 150' coyote fence. The estimate came in at $19,000 including materials. I had been shopping around quite extensively. This was on the lower end of the estimates I had recieved. I was able to negotiate and we agreed on $17,000. I was happy with the price. The fact that this company isn't very well known yet threw me off, but Eddie seemed very genuine and was very adiment in assuring me the job would be done correctly and they would not cut any corners to ensure the quality was top notch. He also guaranteed his work for 5 years I decided to give them a shot. </p> <p>We were out of town visiting family and were only home for the first day of the job. Eddie and his workers showed up in a timely manner and began work quickly. When we arrived 2 weeks later and finally were able to see the completed fence and wall we were expremely pleased. The coyote fence came out very straight and level at the top of the poles. The wall was exactly as I had pictured it. Another detail worth mentioning is our property was spotless when we arrived home. No trash or stucco lying around. Very professional. We had to purchase the gate and have it installed elsewhere.</p> <p>In conclusion, I was nervous spending so much money, but I was being "cheap". It definately paid off in this case. I woud recommend this company again.</p> <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Chris was on time and great to work with.  He installed hardware to all our kitchen cabinets and replaced the kick board under the kitchen cabinets.  Chris fixed some loose boards in the upstairs bathroom and also reinforced one of the closets.  I will use Advance Concept Construction again.  Thank you. <br />"

"It was outstanding in every aspect. 1. They responded immediately with a team that had to drive 2 hours to the location of the house. They were there in the afternoon; I called in the morning. Very professional, very knowledgeable. 2. Every single item in a large, uniquely designed home in northern NM was removed and cataloged, including pictures taken of where each item was located. This includes things such as salt and pepper shakers, etc. 3. Everything was driven in semi trucks back down to Santa Fe where each item was cleaned and then brought back up after the repair work was done. This included artwork, pottery, clothes, handmade rugs, quilts, etc. 4. They worked extremely well with the insurance company - very necessary to make sure everything was done and done seamlessly. 5. The workers had to be good at obscure things such as adobe cleaning and repair, Mexican tile, large overhead beams, heavy tile roof... Everything was done well and quickly. 6. This entire job, start to finish, was completed in a little over THREE MONTHS. Unheard of. (And if you don't know, this is incredibly fast.) 7. They encouraged a list of things that weren't done or needed patching, of which there were about 15 small things. They were done immediately. I just can't say enough good things about Paul Davis Restoration!!!"

"From start to finish, this was a quality experience.  The staff at Counter Intelligence was consistently friendly, totally professional, prompt, efficient, and careful and precise in their work.  The job came in on time and on estimate.  Great company to work with. <br /> And the results were astounding.   Absolutely fantastic slab of granite (they also work in marble, quartz, wood and other surfaces) and a beautiful installation. <br /> What more could a guy ask? <br />"

FAQs for cabinets refinish projects in Tucumcari, NM

To find the best cabinet refinishing expert for your project, start by researching local pros and reading reviews from previous customers. Reach out to a few contractors to discuss your cabinets' size, condition, and the look you're aiming for. Don't hesitate to ask for references or examples of their past work. Speaking with previous clients can give you valuable insights into the pro's workmanship and reliability.

When speaking with potential cabinet refinishing pros, consider asking them several questions to gauge their experience and professionalism. These questions can help you gauge the pro's experience and determine if they align with your needs.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

  • Can you create custom finishes or colors?

  • Do you have examples or samples of your past projects?

  • Are you able to match the finish to other cabinets in my home?

  • How long will the project take from start to finish?

Regular care will help maintain the beauty of your cabinets for years to come. To keep your refinished cabinets looking their best, follow these steps:

  • Use gentle cleaners: Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. A simple mixture of warm water and mild dish soap works well.

  • Clean carefully: Instead of spraying solutions directly onto the cabinets, apply them to a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently.

  • Protect from heat and moisture: Try to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture, which can affect the finish over time.

It's usually less costly to refinish cabinets than to replace them, depending on the cabinet condition. Refinishing cabinets cost an average of $3,114 while replacing cabinets is about $5,000 or more. When deciding to refinish or replace cabinets, consider several factors, including how old your cabinets are, your budget, and whether you need to complete any other renovation projects at the same time.

It may be worth resurfacing (also known as refacing) your cabinets if they’re in good shape but you’re interested in a different look. This is often less expensive than replacing cabinets outright and can allow you to update the look of your cabinets to reflect your kitchen’s current style without having to get rid of them entirely. The cost to reface cabinets is around $4,300 to $10,000, and you can hire a local cabinet refacing pro to handle this work.

Refinishing cabinets takes about two to three days to complete. The process begins with removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, followed by cleaning, stripping, and sanding the surfaces. Any chips, stains, or splits are repaired before applying paint or stain. After applying the finish, the cabinets are reassembled, and the workspace is cleaned up, leaving your cabinets refreshed and renewed.
