I was sort of disappointed with the deep seeding that they did in the back but I was the one to blame, because I went to Maine and didn’t water the lawn for a while. But they told me that the seeds are still there. I am pleased with the front yard because there were so many weeds and they cured that problem and now it is just a matter of thickening up the back lawn but the soil around here is lousy. They were fine with the cleanup after they left. I was here when they did the deep seeding, the two workers that came were very prompt and very professional and they had two different machines and treated the lawn. I was happy with the fact that they solved the weed problem. I had such a terrible weed problem. The lawn is much better now."

"A stellar job as always! Jeff Walton responded promptly to our request for an estimate and walked around the property with my husband, pointing out issues and suggesting remedies. It being the "busy" season we were told two weeks out was expected but we received a call yesterday (one week later) asking us if we wished to take an appointment spot that had opened up. The crew arrived at the promised time this morning and got right to work. There was major trimming to be done and as my husband noted tonight that when it was done, it was done in such a way so you do not realize just how much of the tree was removed. Misshapen limbs (threatening walkway and driveway), feeder branches, dead branches; all were removed. When we were leaving for the office this morning the two gentlemen working on our "front and center" tree were having an earnest discussion as to just which limbs needed to be cut. They had already removed a number of branches and were "cleaning" up the look of the tree. It was reassuring to know that the tree that is directly in front of our house was receiving the very best of care. Every one of the trees (seven in all) look fantastic. We thought they looked nice before; we were unaware of what a good trimming would do to enhance that look. As for clean up, you would never know they had been here. We were walking through foot deep cutting debris this morning; when we returned home this evening there is not a loose twig on the ground. They were even conscientious enough to take down wind chimes and sun catchers that were on branches being cut and move them to adjacent "safe" branches (something I totally forgot needed to be done!). As our arborist told us, "Your trees are happy trees." Happy trees, even happier homeowners! "I have been using Green Acres for almost one year for my 3 acre lot. They do an excellent job on my lawn. There is no grass buildup. The person mowing my lawn before left rows of cut grass which looked bad and damaged the grass underneath. Even if the grass gets a little higher because of wet weather, there is no ugly grass buildup when they finish. It almost looks like they pickup the grass; but, is just mulched very fine and disappears. <br /> They take the time to move items in the lawn and do an excellent job of trimming around objects and the edge of the lawn. I recommend them without reservation. <br />"

"It’s been almost one year now, and I’m overdue in writing this review for Ground Effects. First of all, I’d like to say that the entire experience was really seamless and painless. Once we decided on what we wanted Mary, Josh and the crew got busy. The patio took several days to install and Josh and his crew worked really hard and did everything right. No pavers were laid before the foundation was really good and solid, and I mean solid. They were also able to replace some bricks and fix my front porch steps, which were installed poorly in the beginning when our house was first built. Josh made it look much better. I’d also note that they were able to go the extra mile for us, and fix an asphalt depression near the garage where it bordered the patio. But they didn’t just fix one spot. They corrected the entire problem in front of our garage and did a really good job. Overall, we love the patio! Everyone who sees it comments on how wonderful it is even, Amazon and UPS. Our friends and family whom I had described this project to before construction have all said that it came out much better than they expected or imagined. It has transformed the front of our house, we spend a lot of time on it now in the mornings and evenings and we are thrilled. We couldn’t recommend Ground Effects more highly, they were wonderful and if we ever have another Patio job I know who to call now. Thanks so much."

"I just renewed my annual contract with them.  This would be our second 4 years of service with them.  I hired them mostly for the lawn service, but they have also done tree pruning.  I really haven't had any issue with them either.  They have been very courteous, prompt and punctual. They don't do much of the lawn service during the winter.  I gave them follow on business because I was happy with their lawn service.  The fact that they are the mostly a tree company and they do lawn service as well.  I thought they would do a pretty good job and they did.  The lawn service was $78.  They are always very professional.  They barely need me to be here; so if I am not at home, it doesn't matter.  They don't need me to answer any question.  If the guys do have a question, they reach out to me on a cell phone or things like that.  My lawn has done 200% improvement from the previous year.  My lawn was bone dry, weed infested to green thick grass except the draught, when I am not supposed to water it.  It turns brown, but there's no weed.  The frustrating part is that my neighbor doesn't take the same care.  One neighbor doesn't take the same care and the weed stem seemed to come back from their lawn & peep out here; but Davey comes out and do the treatment for me.  It is just a part of the service.  They come and reapply the fertilizer or weed killer if need be."
