"Kale Lawn Service was the first company to respond within minutes of my request, to my request on Angie's List which was very impressive. They showed up on time and were easy to talk with and polite. The owner Jeff came out himself for the estimate and his professionalism is impeccable! He explained everything in detail that was needed for my project and provided me with other helpful information. Excellent customer service! Highly Recommended!"

"Im really glad my niece recommended Experigreen lawn service to us. We have been in our home 16 years and honestly this is the first time our yard has looked this nice. We are halfway through the process of treatments so far we are so pleased. Neighbors and walkers passing by comment how Green, lush & healthy our yard looks. We also tried the Liquid aeration which gets a 100% of your yard by breaking up soil so it can breath and not be impacted. Have not seen the results yet as we just had it done but I am sure its going to be amazing results. The customer service has been spot on and they treat you with kindness & respect. Just today I had an issue & concern plus questions and Kenneth Scott/ Sales manager quickly handled it and answered every one of my questions quickly and professionally. His personality and tone of voice made me feel like we have known him for years. Thanks Ken for making this customer happy. We will continue with your Lawn care next year as well. "I'd used TruGreen in the past is why I chose them for my lawn care. I was originally set up on 4-6 week intervals to accomodate my financial needs. Everything was going as planned until I got a fertilization/weed control treatment & aeration in Sep within a week apart. I didn't realize what happened until I received the bill and contacted them to report a duplicated charge. I was told one of the charges included an aeration treatment and was a one time application indicated in the contract. This was not my understanding and must have been in very small print I could not read. When first asked about doing aeration, it was agreed to revisit in the fall. I was not asked, told or suggested this was being done so I got hit with that bill. Customer Service Rep was useless. Her resolution was to send someone out when I mentioned the service was incomplete since the gate was locked and the technician did not have access to my yard."

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Lincolnton, NC

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
