"I had such an incredible experience with Brandon and Oz that I truly felt compelled to write a review. It seems like artificial grass is the new way to go - once I did my research the list of pros just went on and on. **The process - I called a few local companies and Encore Builders was actually the last to come out (I guess its true they save the best for last). Brandon and Oz came out together and took measurements of my front yard. We recently installed some fencing so I wanted everything to look fresh and new. They came up with a fabulous idea of an arched driveway with some stepping stones through the artificial turf (see photos). They gave me a quote on the spot and I instantly knew they were the right company. You can tell they are honest people who are not trying to just take your money. They love what they do. The price was extremely competitive compared to the other companies that came out. IN ADDITION - they are the only company to come up with a beautiful landscaping idea that made my front yard absolutely stunning. **The project - The project was quick and painless. Two day job. Crews arrived in the morning - respectfully parked trucks on the street and everyone was super awesome (friendly reminder to have water on hand for your hard workers in the California heat!!). They left everything SPOTLESS and the turf looks gorgeous!!! **The pros - artificial turf was a great solution for us due to the low maintenance. We love to utilize both our front and back yard (hosting, kids playing, etc) and we wanted something we could enjoy year round without an expensive upkeep. Also, now that water and electricity bills are up - we knew we had to find a cheaper solution. Bye bye sprinklers!! No need for mowing, watering, or fertilizing here!!! I honestly don't see any cons - artificial grass was the right move for us and I could not be happier with the results. THANK YOU BRANDON AND OZ!!!! "John Hopkins and his Landscape West crew did a terrific job on our property. In fact, the final product turned out better than we expected. They installed new driveway and walkway pavers, artificial turf and landscaping in back yard, and lighting in front and back. John was quick to provide the initial, written estimate, and he responded promptly to our questions and requests. His workers were very meticulous about the many details of the job--cutting and placing the pavers artistically, laying the turf perfectly, designing the planters, etc. Given the considerable physical labor, the material, and the equipment involved, I believe we got our money’s worth . . . and more! "Tom Cohen and Joe Sapir were great. They went through the possibilities and options with us, including what we could do with our budget and possibilities for financing. We bought our house as part of a repossessed hillside property, and we had to buy it in "as is" condition with decades of deferred maintenance. We had chipped away at fixing up the interiors over the past ten years, and were ready for a major (and long overdue) overhaul of the exteriors. The house is 1,200 square feet, but the garage is basically two stories with the living area on the third floor. That means a lot of stucco to repair and a lot of surface to paint. We needed new windows to replace the 50-year old ones that were original with the house, along with a new front door and sliding glass door in the back. This included expanding the size of the windows so that they were bigger (and actually up to code). The insulation in the attic was very old and needed to be replaced as well. Our garage door was dented (by a previous owner) and needed to be replaced along with the motor. Our back porch was falling apart, and we needed that repaired and painted. Our back yard had little privacy and was too hot to spend much time in for most of the year, so we also had them put in a large alumawood patio cover that extends over the porch and most of the yard (to the edge of our garden). It was important to us not to just pick a "low bid" contractor and instead to get a company that would do the work with high-quality materials and skilled crews with proper insurance and quality guarantees. We wanted this to be the last major overhaul we have to do on the exteriors of this house. The crews that came to do all of the work were very skilled, and worked with us to make sure they were doing exactly the work we wanted. Each phase of the project went quickly and efficiently, with prompt inspections and "touch-ups" afterwards to make sure everything was done well. Tom and Joe were very responsive and communicated well with us throughout the projects. We are very happy with the work, and we got our money's worth."
