"We needed a new vinyl click lock floor installed throughout our house. Adam and Jack were wonderful. It was a pretty big job, and they did amazing work. Very conscientious about doing a great job, timely and cleaned up every night, as we were living in the house while they worked. Can’t recommend them enough, 5 stars ⭐️ Plus !"

"Chris Beltran and his crew did an absolutely wonderful job for us at a very reasonable price. They removed the moss and debris from our very steep roof and our garage, cleaned our gutters and removed a large branch and a tree which were dropping debris on the roof. They were friendly, competent and very professional. The clean-up was excellent. We highly recommend them and will definitely use them again."

"The service I received from Aegis Cleaning Services went well. The two young men who came out were polite and pleasant. They seemed to know what they were doing. I can't say anything negative about them. They were on time and got to work and didn't waste any time. They were very quick and efficient. They were cheerful and seemed like they actually enjoyed their job. They were so nice and it was almost like your nephew came to visit or something."

"He drew it and took pics of himself doing it otherwise we wouldn't believe even drew it. It looks like a photograph. We've never seen anything like it. He's amazing. He has also hand drawn pictures of my wedding and of my grand father for his funeral service."

"During the ice storm our 75 year old Oak tree split in half and had to be removed. They were amazingly responsive and the work was accomplished promptly and carefully. They charged us $1100 for removal. They continue to help us clean up, prune damaged plants and now are helping us re-landscape 1/2 of our backyard."

"During our initial meeting Jason answered and cleared up several questions I had on exterior maintenance. After settling on what work needed to be done for now, his crew came and did the job while I was away. I found a bit of foam left on the roof when I returned, but after reporting it they returned in short order and cleared it off at no extra charge."

"During the course of one month there were a few problems: half of a rose bush was knocked over after a mowing, a sprinkler head was destroyed by a mower (and not replaced), and scalping of grass in various yard areas. (see photos) I talked with Jose about the rose bush and he said he did not notice it while on site. The base of the bush was probably bumped with a mower and fell over before I came home in the afternoon; by then it was on the ground. It's in an inaccessible part of the front yard, so no one else would have come in contact with it (neighbor kids, balls, pets, etc). My husband discovered the sheered off sprinkler head in the back/side yard the first time he mowed after terminating our 1 month of service. So glad the sprinkler system is not on for the watering season yet. Scalping of the grass occurred in several areas. When I spoke to Jose, he said the lawn is uneven. Nevertheless, it has not happened for the previous decade my husband has been mowing and edging the lawn. I think Jose and his staff work hard and care about the quality of service they provide. We were just unlucky during our trial month and while I could not recommend the service based on our experience, I'm sure they do a good job overall based on his ratings."

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Eugene, OR

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
