"Dan was very responsive when I reached out for a quote to repair uneven areas and replace a few broken pavers on our brick paver driveway. The quote was in-line with what we received from other companies so we put down a deposit to start the work based on the positive reviews we read online. After putting down the deposit is where I felt things started to go poorly. They could not provide me a date (rather an estimate) of when their crews would arrive. That is understandable in a business that can be highly dependent on the weather. However, I asked Dan to at least call the day before so we could move our cars from the garage and park them in the street. The workers arrived, did not notify us (beforehand or when they got there!) and started doing work. They had to stop and move their equipment so we could retrieve our cars and have access to them during the day. The workers did a good job leveling the uneven bricks, but they didn't complete some of the tasks from the contract (replacing broken bricks, fixing the plastic edging) and they left their empty soda cans on our driveway. We also pointed out an area that we wanted done in a specific way, and despite being told twice, they still completed it wrong. They left without notifying us they were done or allowing us to review their work. To his credit, Dan sent the crew back out again to deal with the issues, but I still feel the work wasn't done 100% to our standards. I unfortunately cannot recommend them to others."

"We have used Mike and his AAA before. He did a great job in the past, did again today. We had 2 large, old Norway Maples and 1 large old Silver Maple all pruned and raised. Lots of dead branches, overgrowth and other branches encroaching on and over our house and also our neighbors. We also had a long arborvitae hedge trimmed. Again, lots of pruning involved. All of Mike's workers did a great job. Very knowledgeable. And Mike was there the whole time, consulting with us as each tree or hedge was about to be worked on. One neighbor saw Mike and his team's work and asked Mike to set up a tree removal on his property. As said, we've used in the past and will again."

"Unfortunately, about two dozen dead or dying trees on our property had to be removed. Most of them were ash trees infected with the emerald ash borer. Some of them were very large and very close to the house, making their removal especially challenging. We got a bunch of estimates and eventually decided to go with Al (Rivas Tree Service) because he seemed amazingly knowledgeable and attentive, and also gave us a very competitive quote. We couldn’t be more satisfied with the results! Al and his crew were absolutely great. I could observe what they were doing from my study window and I confess that I was so fascinated with their speedy, competent, [and scary] work that I didn’t manage to get much done that day. It was a wonderfully orchestrated unfolding of activities that resulted in the removal of almost all the trees in a long day of work. The crew came back the next morning to cut one remaining large ash tree and to do the final clean up. Thanks to their know-how and some amazing equipment they brought for the job, there was not the slightest damage to the property and the yard clean-up was meticulous. I should also note that they did some extra pruning work at no extra charge. Rivas has my strongest recommendation."

"Installation was efficient and careful, as well as a good value. Salinas Landscaping uses high quality fixtures. We chose 2 types in antique brass, a flood to light trees and a shaded path light. We wanted the path-lighting posts buried deeper than typical for stability and subtlety, which Roberto and his crew accommodated. They also managed to deinstall some old lighting without breaking the circuit. We appreciated getting the work done in time for Thanksgiving, as well as Roberto’s willingness to come back in March and replace a flood with LED lights that had gone dim. Salinas Landscaping backs its work! They even took an extra few minutes to adjust the light timer for daylight saving time."
