"This spring we were in search of a company to pour a concrete patio as we were removing our old floating deck. We came across Clark Companies at the White Bear Home Show @ The Hippodrome. They followed up promptly afterwards and set a time to come out for a quote. They answered all our questions and helped us envision what it could look like. They were the only company we had out that actually cared (the others you probably hear advertised all the time). If you're here because you are researching them you can see they do this all the time and they do it well. They gave us many options to choose from for the patio & other items to complete the project (I.e stairs or grass seed). During the installation they were very professional and consulted with us along the way to make sure we were happy before all was said and done. Thank you Clark Companies! "Artistic Landscapes Inc. was one of many companies we talked to and received quotes from about installing a boulder retaining wall in our backyard to replace aging railroad ties and decking. The backyard is sloped with very limited access to move materials and equipment, therefore many of the companies we spoke with responded with either limited options for landscape ideas or unaffordable prices. Chris came out, listened to our ideas, gave us some of his and told us exactly what we could expect; he quickly put a bid together and we were elated it fell within our budget.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />He and his crew not only worked around the limited access issues, but challenging weather including rain and wet conditions/clay soils. In addition to an approximate 60 foot long boulder retaining wall, they installed 33 paver stones for a pathway, steps as a feature area, additional large boulders for aesthetic enhancements and graded the area to address critical storm water runoff needs. The placement of each stone/boulder was clearly thought through, resulting in a unique and attractive wall versus many of the standard "one on top of the other" looks. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Toward the end there were a few minor tweaks we requested to which Chris and his crew were more than happy to accommodate until they knew we were completely satisfied. Clean up was fabulous too; our front yard damaged by major equipment during the process (which we knew was necessary) was fully restored as promised! <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Chris was good to communicate with and very trustworthy in terms of what he committed to delivering. I would recommend Artistic Landscapes to anyone seeking quality work at a fair price, and by someone who knows what works and what doesn't. "My job was actually to have a stamped concrete patio installed. Overall, they did an awesome job! They were able to complete the job about a week prior to what they&#39;d estimated, they arrived when they said they would, and completed the job within the time they said. They were very careful about placing plastic on the driveway and took care in ensuring they did as a little invasion to the area as possible. They were professional, friendly and easy to work with, and the finished product is absolutely beautiful. I LOVE IT! Every time I walk out and see it I love it more! "Really well - i have used several small landscapers (and even other contractors) over the years, and Josh was by far the best overall experience.  I got his name from a friend who used him for a larger project last year.  I think the price was fair but not cheap, hence my B rating there, but honestly I was not really able to get an equivalent bid from anyone else.  So i could be wrong there.   Overall the experience from sales through design and execution was great.  Josh is knowledgeable and easy-to-work-with, not typical pushy sales.  He worked with us on a great design from my rudimentary sketch, and it turns out to be EXACTLY what we wanted.  We engaged him in the fall, and they were not able to get the project done before winter (although he had never promised to.)  But he said we'd be first on the list in the spring.  He contacted us in March to finalize plans and get a deposit, then got the work done ASAP in mid-April.  They came when they said they would, with a crew of 3 and got the project done in 3 days.  I can't speak to long term quality, but am extremely pleased so far, and hopeful it holds up.   Since this is a front patio, we get many compliments from neighbors on the sidewalk, and have shared Josh's name several times.  Would recommend him highly!  Thanks again, Josh! <br />"

"From the beginning of our search for a company to install a new deck for us, we were impressed with the responsiveness of Outdoor Solutions and the honesty and demeanor of Jim, the owner. He showed us many samples and options for our project and offered good advice on the choices we eventually made. Our 2-man crew was headed by Derrek, who is a master carpenter and figured out an innovative solution for an existing deck light that now does not protrude thru the deck floor. Derrek and his helper Roberto were hard-working and professional. They showed up early and worked late when necessary, and debris was hauled away each day. Our project took longer than estimated but that was because Derek was committed to pleasing us and went above and beyond what others might have done to assure our satisfaction. We absolutely LOVE our new maintenance-free deck and the enhancement it has made to our back yard. One small side note which meant a lot to me was that Christian gospel songs were played as background music while they worked. My husband and I are so happy we chose Outdoor Solutions and recommend this company without any hesitation."
