"Joe of Up & Downsizing Hawaii was exceptionally kind, professional, and consistently on time. I hired Joe's service as I needed to deal with a hoarder's home in a condo on the 9th floor. It was deplorable. I flew in from the east coast (very long flight). Due to time constraints, this had to be addressed quickly. Joe was organized & systematic with the process. For me, time was money. It was well worth the money for the much needed service in such a short amount of time. For me, it took 5 days to clear out a huge mess. Joe handled 3 out of five days for me. Joe of Up & Down Sizing was able to help with other small projects (change out a shower head & kitchen faucet). What a huge difference this made. Joe's crew was just as amazing. Areas that were cleared out were very clean and this also created such a positive energy flow throughout the home. Moreover, Joe is very aware & sensitive of those with hoarding behavior. He appears to handle individuals that cope with hoarding issues with great care & compassion. I can't say enough about Joe's business Up & Down Sizing of Hawaii. Joe's service was well worth it for a few thousand dollars (cost is based on time) compared to our issue in FL (see A Side Note below). Moreover, while Joe was there during this big purge, his presence really helped with making the process efficient & effortlessly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND UP & DOWNSIZING HAWAII!!! A side note as an FYI: Prior to Joe's service, here in Honolulu Hawaii, we had to deal with another family member in FL. We dealt with another hoarders home that was in deplorable condition. This whole process was on our own. We didn't even think of a service in FL such as Joe's. We traveled back & forth for 9 months (16 times!). The process took us 6 months, alot of travel time, doggy daycare, hotel costs, and 3 dumpsters......this process ON OUR OWN was extremely expensive ($18,000.00). So weigh out your costs with time. You'll realize for a few thousand dollars, its worth hiring a professional that specializes with this process."
