"Rescue Roofing came out asap to assess the job, they got roofers and masonry specialists out asap to fix our problem. Not only was an excellent job done (no leaks yet!) but communications were great and the bill was not as high as I thought it would be! Very Very pleased with Rescue Roofing and recommend them to anyone needing roof or chimney repair."

"This was as painless a repair as I could have imagined. Bone Dry was responsive, professional and most of all, punctual. They contacted me before coming out and made sure I knew what was needed to fix my roof, how much it would cost, and when they could do it. They provided me with high quality pictures of the damage and the fixed roof afterwards. Andy was friendly, straightforward and honest. He found as many discounts for me as possible, and even though it was a minor service call, he gave me a very good deal. They were even able to fix the roof early. I couldn't be happier with their service."

"The sales rep was wonderful. We knew our shingles were old and needed to be replaced. The slew rep asked if our insurance was covering the cost or part of it. We said no. He inspected the roof and found a lot of hail damage. We contacted the insurance company. They sent out an inspector, and our sales rep came to shoe him pictures and to point out the damage, so insurance covered almost the entire cost! This company had a very good selection of materials and colors and the sales rep was very helpful with suggestions. The job was completed in one day. There was a wonderful project manager who was there the whole time, watching that things were done correctly. He answered questions and pointed out problems and their solutions. He had them re-do a small part because he wanted it perfect. All of the workers were industrious and conscientious. They took care to protect our siding, windows and landscaping. They cleaned up afterwards. We are very pleased with the work, the materials, and the professionalism of all of the workers. I recommended them to a neighbor. Another neighbor saw the sales rep come and measure, and asked about having his roof done, and ended up having his done the same day! <br /> I highly recommend Roofing Annex! <br />"

"Lyndon is a fantastic gentleman! I had concerns my roof might be wind damaged and wanted a second opinion. Lyndon was able to schedule a visit quickly, and went up on both stories of the roof with me and pointed items out to that needed minor repair. However, Lyndon told me that my roof was in great condition for its age, and it would not need replaced anytime soon. Lyndon recommended some products to use for the minor repairs, and encouraged me to do them myself instead of paying him. I would highly recommend Lyndon and Baal Roofing for all my future roofing needs."

"Mike's roofing is very professional from start to finish! Troy's estimates were exactly as quoted on final cost. The roofing crew did an amazing job. Prompt work, cleanup during and after was very much appreciated. Very polite and professional. The insulation crew was working at the same time. Blowing in another 8" in our attic. Work was completed in one day! That was very impressive! A few days later the crew for gutters, downspouts and gutter guards arrived. They also did a fabulous job! Highly recommend this company."

"Roofwise was recommended by several friends and neighbors. My project was to remove the tin roof on my house, replace sheathing, install shingles, and repair/reline built in box gutters. Luther,a Roofwise foreman, came the same day I called to inspect the project to estimate the job. That was in August 2009. However, the roofers did not start work until right after New Years. I am highly satisfied with the responsiveness and professionalism of this company, the delay in start date notwithstanding. I have noticed some water staining on the soffits in two places, suggesting that some leaks persist. But Luther responded quickly when I phoned about this and I am confident Roofwise will solve this problem."

"I called James at 6:30 AM to request he fix a dislodged gutter that was banging against the side of my house. He told me my house was on his way to other appointments he had for the day and he could come before those appointments. He arrived shortly after 8:00 AM and reattached the gutter with better than original hangers. He finished the job in less than 30 minutes. He also advised me about a potential trouble spot on my roof and told me what to look for. He will be my first call for any roofing issues in the future."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Washington Court House, OH

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
