"Was going to buy a fence and install it myself but decided to just let a pro do it. A week latter and the customer service is still top notch. Only complaint was I think the fence was originally set a little high but that was an easy change. If your looking for a dog fence I highly recommend Dog Guard."

"We have a double lot on almost 1/4 of an acre in town. They installed ~300ft of chain link fencing (4ft) and three gates. They were very patient with me, worked through all the fencing options, and were even kind when I changed my mind after the initial estimate. The fence looks great, and they don't make you pay until they know you are happy with it. The men who came out and did the installation worked extra hard to ensure that my dogs wouldn't be able to sneak under it. They made some minor changes, with my approval, as there were high/low spots in the yard and they wanted to make sure the fence could keep my dogs in (I have two beagles who love to wander). Overall, I would recommend them to anyone, they do great work! <br />"

"They got to our job more quickly than they had predicted. The fence was completed quickly, seems sturdy, and looks terrific. They worked with us to come up with a solution for avoiding a manhole that was right on the property line where the fence should have gone. We had decided on one work-around at the time of the estimate, but decided before it was installed that we wanted to change it, and they could not have been nicer or more accommodating about the change. We called ahead of time, and were told that it would not be a problem, and just to talk to the installers when they came. The day of installation we discussed it with the installers, and they made suggestions, listened to our concerns, and came up with a workable solution. The final installation looked exactly as expected. My only (minor) complaint is that they could have cleaned up after themselves a bit better, as they left several large pieces of the vinyl covered chain link on the ground in various places around the edges of the fence. All in all they did an excellent job, and we are very happy with the fence. <br />"

"Eric was referred to me by Kevin with One Call Home Repair who was no longer in the business.  I caleld Eric and he got back to me promptly & scheduled a time about 2 weeks out, that fit in my schedule.  He and his coworker came out a few minutes early and did a fast and excellent job of repairing the cat fence that is attached to the top of my chain link fence around my large back yard.  They clamped 15-20 brackets onto my cat fence, cut out the old twist ties and added zip ties on all the new brackets.   <br /> They also repaired the back of my chain link fence--reattaching metal wires, adding stakes at the bottom, and zip tying them to the fence.   <br /> Plus, they diagnosed a lighted deer holiday decorating, that only was only half-lit.  I thought the lighting wires had been cut, but they were actually ties that looked liked wires.  They showed me the approximate location of the burned out LED light. <br /> They wrote me an itemized invoice for the 2 hours of work.  They were professional, courteous, and easy to work with--willing to do exactly what I wished regarding the repairs.  I'd definitely call them again and would recommend them to my friends. <br />"

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Watkins, IA

The time it takes to install a swimming pool fence varies depending on the project's complexity. A simple installation can be completed in about two hours. However, if your project involves concrete work, regrading, custom installations, or challenging terrain, it could take up to two full days. Each additional factor increases the labor and time needed to ensure your fence meets safety standards.

Yes, installing a lock on your pool gate enhances safety by preventing unauthorized access. A self-closing, self-latching gate with a key-lock mechanism provides strong protection, helping to keep children and pets safe. Securing your pool gate adds an extra layer of security and offers peace of mind when using the pool area.

A pool fence requires a specific height to secure the pool area. In most states, the fence must be 48 inches tall; some regulations require 60 inches for enhanced safety. Checking local building codes guarantees compliance with these height requirements. A taller fence strengthens protection and improves the overall security of your pool area, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards.

Mesh and tempered glass are among the safest pool fencing choices because their design and smooth surfaces make them resistant to climbing attempts. They provide consistent, rigid barriers that prevent unauthorized access to your pool area. These materials ensure optimal safety for children and pets. In addition, incorporating a pool safety net further enhances protection and addresses additional security concerns, ensuring that your pool remains a safe environment for all users.

Pool fencing requirements vary by local, state, and federal regulations. In most states, installing a pool fence is mandatory for safety and insurance purposes. Ask your pool fence pro for local regulations or check with your local planning department to understand the specific height and design requirements for your area. Complying with these regulations ensures legal compliance and enhances safety.
