The copper flashing was pulling away from around my chimney and looked like it was in need of repair or replacement. I had previously worked with another well reviewed roofing company on Angie's List that missed my scheduled appointment to examine my chimney flashing. So I was very pleased when Andrew from Gunner showed up exactly when promised, and I was quite fascinated with his use of a drone to take precise aerial photographs of the work to be performed from all angles - a rather tech savvy approach. Gunner provided a detailed estimate within hours, that was only 1/3 the cost of the estimate I ultimately received from that other roofer. Gunner Roofing completed the work on time, and did a very satisfactory job. This was a relatively modest project, but based on my experience, I hope to use Gunner Roofing when it comes time to redo my entire roof."

"My home has a 100+ year old slate roof in disrepair and several generations of cheap fixes. I contacted Leeland's for an opinion on repairs. The inspector was extremely thorough, provided pictures, and gave me his candid opinion on the remaining life of my roof based on the condition of my slates and flashings. He ultimately wrote up an estimate to paint the rusted metal valleys, replace several dozen broken slates, repair rotted wood, and install new copper chimney flashing and a cricket. It was a difficult decision to repair vs replace the roof, but I never felt any pressure from them one way or another. I agreed to the repairs originally, but ultimately changed my mind and just decided to replace the roof. I'm sure this was a hassle to go back and forth with me, but they were very patient, and ultimately returned my deposit. I really appreciate their honesty and customer service, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for maintenance on their slate roof. <br />"

Several were already booked through the end of the year, but did manage to get three to give me estimates. Barr's estimate was in the middle of the three. Signed contract in mid-June with an estimated start date sometime in late September or October. Barr required a 1/3 deposit at the time the contract was signed. Did not hear from the contractor again until mid-September when I called to check on an estimated start date. They claimed that they were just about to call me and would be ready to start in two days. Arrived on the date promised with a large crew. Complete repair took only three days (estimate had been five). Very satisfied with the quality of work. Crew did an excellent job of cleaning up each afternoon and when the job was completed. Overall very happy with Barr and would recommend to friends/family. <br />"
