"We had a really great time working with Oren and Michale. From the first time we talked to them to the very end, they were super good at what they do. T hey changed our old-looking house into a new, nice one that feels really welcoming. Our project included complete home remodeling, new roof, solar panels, new elevations for exterior walls, landscaping and hardscaping work. They did a very, very good job making everything look perfect and paying attention to every little thing. I think everyone should use them for their house!"

"Green Planet Remodeling just completed our kitchen remodel and we couldn’t be happier with the results. They were upfront about costs, stuck to the schedule, and the quality of their work was excellent. The design process was collaborative — they really took the time to understand how we use our kitchen and gave us suggestions that made a big difference (hello, hidden spice rack!). They handled everything with professionalism and made what I thought would be a chaotic process feel pretty stress-free. No hidden fees, no runarounds, just good people doing great work!"

General Contractors serving the Bay Area. Lou Iacomini started Iacomini Construction in 1966 in San Jose, California. After years of working for others Lou decided to start building for himself. Iacomini construction thrived through the next few decades by demonstrating hard work, consistency and craftsmanship. By 2000, Iacomini construction had successfully built over 100 custom homes through the south bay neighborhoods of Saratoga, Monte Sereno, Almaden and Willow Glen. In 2002, Lou’s son Enzo Iacomini graduated from San Diego State University and took over where his father had left off. Growing up, Enzo watched his fathers every move. He was able to learn the meaning of hard work, a mentality that is a necessity in construction. Due to the shortage of land and the high demand for quality construction, Iacomini Construction still builds custom homes but has specialized in remodels and additions.

"System Pavers is HIGHLY motivated and well optimized to make the sale – but they WILL NOT stand behind their “system.” If/when problems develop (even due to their own failures), you are on your own. After a very high-pressure sales pitch (disguised as a “design meeting”) with all the accoutrements (fancy PowerPoint demonstration, a copy of their very large surety bond, commitments that they will stand behind us, and a “discount” that magically expired the same day), System Pavers completed our $72k backyard paver project in September 2021. Over the next few weeks, the pavers began to separate, sag, and “crown.” Also, the drainage in many areas was toward the house, not away from it. They did come back a couple of times to remove pavers, recompact, and reset. However, when failures continued, they asked us to let the system fail for another year so they would only have to do a major rehabilitation once. When that year elapsed, they were nowhere to be found. Very difficult to get them to come back out. Then, instead of fixing the failed system, they had a soils engineer evaluate. The engineer’s report confirmed they did not properly prepare the subgrade. They recently sent an email essentially saying they didn’t want to keep spending money on their failed system. They also claimed the warrantee would not cover the repairs. They are simply walking away, leaving us with an unsafe, embarrassing backyard and a worthless major investment. What a joke. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY."

"DAC landscaping did an amazing job from start to finish, their attention to detail is incredible. We hired a designer for our oddly shaped yard and they worked with our designer to ensure all the nitty gritty details were decided and buildable. In the end, I'm extremely happy with the craftsmanship and outcome. They truly take their time to select the best materials and over-engineer to increase longevity. Would definitely hire again."

"If you are thinking of hiring Baron Construction (Mike, Or, David) to do any major work - think twice! The company is a complete disaster and incompetence. They don't understand architectural or structural plans or even care about doing so. Their approach is to sign you up for a high-premium contact, and then hire low-cost subcontractors and provide zero supervision to any work. After the project starts, they will drag it as much as they can, making 9 months project last for 2 years! In the meantime, they will try to charge you 50x for simple plywood here and there. Don't bother. Take your money somewhere else where you will get quality, communication, and responsibility."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Watsonville, CA

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
