"Overall, the window-storm door-trim project was rather successful, not without snags/problems. The first snag arose after I reminded Jaymey that the window openings on the south side were to receive the double hung windows. Jaymey immediately stated the instructions to one of his workers, who about a half-hour later (after Jaymey had left to check on another project) began to install a sliding window on the south side. Nonetheless, I spotted the mistake early, so that turned out okay. (It pays to keep a close eye on things.) The second snag arose from defective caulk. As I planned to paint the interior trim, paintable caulk was needed between the joints. However, a bad batch of caulk proved not to be paintable (save for one tube). I complained and Jaymey sent out an employee. The employee looked at the absence of adhesion and said that the interior trim was vinyl. I told him that it was wood. When he was convinced that it was wood, I said that the easiest fix was to replace the interior trim. He said that he was not comfortable with that and left. Nonetheless, after I spent several hours sanding off the caulk from the wood surface, the window installation turned out fine. The next snag was in the placement of the door handle-lock fixture in the storm door to the back yard entrance. Apparently, measurements weren’t taken prior to installing the fixture with the result that the plunger could not be engaged by using a key on the outside. Jaymey sent out an employee with a saw to shorten the plunger. After he shortened it and after I spent about 30 to 45 minutes filing down the sharp edges, the storm door installation too turned out fine. Another shortcoming was a string of quite noticeable scratches on the front entry door. My wife said that they were not there before work was done on the outside storm door. Nonetheless, the front door had some minor scratches from Christmas wreath decorations and likely should be repainted anyway. Finally, there was a blotch of something on one of the screens, but weather apparently has removed it. So, overall, everything turned out not badly, in fact, quite good. I like Jaymey. Although most of his crew seem to me not to be overly endowed with talent (JC is an exception, he seems quite capable), if you keep a close eye on things, the work should turn out okay. With this caveat, I would recommend Dornbusch Construction. I also should remark that I may have Dornbusch Construction do more work in the future. I should also add that Jaymey always returns telephone calls and has a pleasant manner."

"Nick came and gave me an estimate on a Tuesday and took the trees down the next day. This was part 1 of 2. He will be installing a fence, removing a concrete patio area and fixing the really ugly flower beds. He has been very helpful through this whole process. Because of his prompt service I have hired him to do some tree work at my rental property."

"I used Dan and his partner (Stoneman) to build a deck and install patios. That experience was tremendous. I wanted to replace my class 5 driveway with pavers. Dan came out promptly to measure, made another trip over to bring samples. His next trip was to start digging out the old and installing the new. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate so this was a 3 day installation. It looks wonderful! All the neighbors have commented and been very complementary. The curves fit perfectly. Dan wanted to put some retaining stone on the side of the driveway and he personally picked out some sparkly pieces to add to the overall look. <br />"

"I met Joel a couple of years ago while he was doing work for a neighbor. I took his card and told him that if the job he did held up, I would be in touch. When it came time for my project, there was not a single crack in my neighbors driveway, so I contacted him. <br /> The contract I signed called for the replacement of a broken asphalt driveway and rotten timber retaining wall. The project started out simple enough, with a bid of about $12,000, but the city stepped in and required special engineering and permits that were not part of the original quote. In addition the street in front of the house was under construction and changes that the city made meant several changes in the design of the wall and steps. <br /> The change orders for an additional wall, and the purchase of concrete patio furniture also increased the price <br /> His work was meticulous and artistic. He used gentle curves and angles on the wall and steps. He installed irrigation pipe under the patio to another part of the yard in case we wanted to irrigate at some time in the future. <br /> His price was very competitive(although slightly higher) than some others I got. I selected him because I knew his work, His bid also included thicker than customary concrete with more steel. He told me it is cheaper to do it right than to come back and fix problems later. <br /> Given the problems with city engineers and street construction, the job took longer than expected, but Joel and his crew were extremely efficient, and as often as possible left the property in a condition that we could use the driveway overnight. <br /> I was very pleased with the result, and I highly recommend his work <br />"
