Get matched with top doors (exterior) installers and replacers in Waukegan, IL

"I went with this company because of all the 5 star ratings. I wish I had the pleasure to experience a 5 star service. Unfortunately, I did not. I first have to say that overall the installation of my doors were good. However, in order for me to give 5 stars, the following has to ensue. Professionalism, Punctuality and attention to detail. The head installer Jacob, first arrived with a nasty disposition and when the project started, he had the audacity to have a full blown loud argument with his co-worker in my house, which made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Secondly, they were to arrive between 8am & 9am, I get it if one is running late because of traffic or other unforeseen circumstance. They arrived after 9am and a courtesy call would of been nice. Once the project was done, there was no initial walk through with the head installer. Because I already felt a bit intimidated by the earlier ordeal between jacob and his co-worker, I did not ask Jacob for a walk though nor did he offer one. I took it upon myself to do a quick inspection. Everything at face value seemed to look ok. So the next morning once everything settled, I did a more thorough and lengthy inspection. I discovered issues that in hindsight I wish I could of addressed the day of the project. Please see attached photos for what I found. Although these issues I found are minor, I have to say that for almost $10,000, I expected a perfect job to be performed from start to finish. The pictures below are a result of someone not paying attention to detail."

"We had an eleven year old cedar deck that needed sanding and restaining as well as replacing some rotting boards. We received several estimates for the work and Minquiz Construction came in with a quote that was very reasonable. We are so glad we chose them to do the job. Angel is a craftsman. Our deck stairs had an interesting design and Angel replicated that design and it actually looks better than it did originally. He ended up having to put several coats of stain on the base and he worked on it until it was perfect. We would definitely use Minquiz again."

"They were not able to fill our door space, and wanted us to make too many compromises"

"Used them to install front storm door and fix existing back laundry door- Very professional, clean and courteous. Arrived on time and completed great quality work. Will consider using in the future."

"They did a great job on my front door and sliding patio door.. It was done on time and in a timely matter. They made sure they didn’t damage any of the trim or surrounding area. Very pleasant people to work with, and I will be hiring them again. I highly recommend them."

"He was amazing. He replaced my ceiling fan in the dining room, replaced my kitchen faucet and fixed my toilet that was not flushing correctly. I also added a few things that I needed done and he completed my list. Everything looks amazing and he was very neat and tidy. It’s really hard to find a good handyman and he is the best!"

"True professional craftsman. Honest, trustworthy and flexible scheduler. Rebuilt main home staircase. Confronted surprise issues with his years of experience and skills. Impressive mobile carpentry shop. Please feel free to use us as a reference."

"What can I say except “Simply Fabulous & Amazing AA++”. Ridge Top Exteriors is truly an exceptional and outstanding company whose sole focus is the customers experience and ultimate satisfaction for their home needs. I am truly amazed and blessed to have found this company thru Angi’s follow up with me to see how my project was coming along. Angi quickly shared Ridge Top Exteriors information with me and sent my information to Ridge Top Exteriors. “Literally” in less than two minutes of this action, (yes, I was still on the call with Angi), the office staff of Ridge Top Exteriors in Gurnee was calling me to setup an appointment for a free estimate. The entire experience from start to finish (from the immediate phone call, estimate to confirm what was going on with my roof triggering an email from the General Manager thanking me for giving the team the opportunity to assist me and assured if I needed anything to please reach out. The entire crew did a such amazing job"

"Tomas came out and did the required work and did a nice job. Considering that these were old closet doors and hardware, the "patchwork" job was just what we wanted without having to do a major overhaul of buying and installing completely new doors."
