"I had an old light fixture removed that did not have a backbox & cover plate to house the wires correctly and a bedroom ceiling fan that mysteriously stopped working. I read a number of Angie's list reviews and felt that VMA Electric seemed like straight shooters, fully transparent and would be able to solve my issues efficiently. (I knew this job would be T&M rather than pre-quoted as it's impossible to say how long something like this would take). But Nancy in the office was wonderful to work with scheduling the work and she gave me the hourly rates ahead of time so I knew what I was going into. I was fortunate with my timing as they just had a cancellation - so they were onsite the very next morning. They solved both of my issues efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and made the whole process extremely wonderful. If you're reading this saying "I just need an electrician or two to come by and fix a couple of lingering items that I've had on my checklist for awhile" - you've found your company. The invoice/bill for the work was emailed to me the following day and it was exactly in line with expectations (a lot of reviewers are cautious about seeing an invoice after the fact). The pricing was exactly in line with the rates previously given and it was itemized with materials, etc. Anybody would be very happy with this group."

"Brandon showed up to install recessed lights and other electrical work as part of a kitchen renovation. He clearly explained my options and advised on best approaches as well as best practices. Before installing the lights, he went through a few specifics of how the process would work, specific to my home, where there was a central air duct to potentially contend with close to a spot where I wanted one of the lights and we discussed the approach so I knew what to expect in advance. He was careful and conscientious about my protecting my new floors, before beginning work, he carefully planned out the lights, carefully installed them by himself quickly but without rushing, and then helped me plan out other phases of the electrical work for project. Phenomenal experience, and a really hardworking guy. Showed up when he said he would and I look forward to moving the rest of the kitchen project along so I can reach back out to Brandon soon for the next phase of the project. "It went well. I have hired this company before and they did a good job last time so I turned to them again. I originally hired a handyman to uninstall a broken ceiling fan and install a new one . Both units had lights. The lights on the broken fan worked but the fan did not. When the handyman completed his work the new fan worked but the lights did not. He tried to fix it but couldn't. He said the wiring in my ceiling was the problem and I needed and electrician. I hired P.W.DiMasi who sent 2 electricians out to investigate the problem. They found there was nothing wrong with the wiring in my house but rather that the fan was NOT wired correctly by the handyman. Also the fan was NOT installed correctly using the correct rated electrical box to support the weight of the fan. They removed the fan, installed the correct rated fan box, reinstalled the fan and wired it correctly. Then they checked all the screws on the fan to be sure they were correctly tightened, balanced and tested everything. When they were done everything worked perfectly. The electricians were professional, polite and respectful and easy to work with. They even vacuumed the floor when they were done. I will definitely use this company in the future when I need electrical work done."
