"I read other reviews for Townsley Contracting before calling Jim and I was not disappointed. He was both responsive and very helpful. We set an appointment for an overall check on the health of my roof which had been prompted by a new leak.  Jim arrived promptly at the day and time we had agreed upon.
He assessed the roof and also determined the cause of my leak which included digital photos of the various issues he found. At my request, he provided several levels of recommendations ranging from the "let's stop this leak now" to "what would a roof replacement look like?"
I appreciated Jim's low key approach to finding the right solution(s) that fit my budget. He did not try to hard sell an immediate roof replacement and even suggested some of the medium repairs could wait until I was ready to replace the roof in a year or two.
Based on my experience, I have already asked Jim for quotes on additional work and fully expect that he will be on my shortlist of go-to contractors.

"I highly recommend Fabiano's Construction. Our experience with him was fantastic from beginning to end. The project was to restore and replace the exterior window frames of our 1830 Trinity. The previous owners had installed new windows on the inside but left the old ones outside for beauty. Many of these old windows were completely rotten at the bottom, barely holding the small panes of glass together. We got three estimates. One builder wanted to replace the old windows with a second set of new ones. Another was going to patch them up with wood filler. Fabiano was the only one who was willing to actually restore them, using green wood for the parts that were beyond salvaging. It was precision carpentry work requiring problem-solving ingenuity. The new frames and sills are green wood plus Azek (PVC), so they should last forever. Although more major restoration was necessary than foreseen, Fabiano and his crew—his son Will and assistant Simon—still finished the job in the predicted time. They were careful, focused, hard-working, and also really nice, honest people. It was a pleasure to meet them, and the result is a stunning improvement to our house both inside and out. Fabiano is responsive and friendly, an expert who takes pride in his work. Incredibly, his price was the lowest the three. We plan to hire him for another project."

(The warranty was also the best available.) Power is a large company with multiple locations across the country, ours was headquartered in Maryland but the work was completed in Virginia. This geographic distance did not adversely effect the outcome. The work started on time and was completed on time. Numerous personal phone calls and visits by the Power inspectors provided us with the comforting conclusion that we made the correct choice for a truly professional contractor. With our 50 year labor and product warranty I doubt we will need to redo our roof in our lifetime BUT if we move we would definitely chose Power again! Check the Better Business Bureau reviews and complaints and you will easily see that Power is a responsive and reasonable company to work with. Need a new roof? Power is your answer."
