"They've been treating my lawn for several years and it's gorgeous. They're all very friendly and helpful. Jeff always calls me right back anytime I have a question and the techs always call to make sure that my cat is in the house before spraying my lawn which I greatly appreciate since she loves to lay in the grass and eat it as well, lol. Thank you"

"The employees often spent too little time on trimming and let edges of lawn grow up a little more with each mowing. I hired a friend to get the lawn and edging back in shape. Called the owner to complain and he promptly addressed the problem. Mowing and trimming much improved, but still have areas that are not being thoroughly trimmed sometimes. Service is fair, but when problems arise, and a call is necessary, the owner is professional and quick to see that they are remedied.
"

"THEY LISTEN TO WHAT I NEED. THEY DO WHAT I NEED AND NOT WHAT THEY WANT. THEY LISTEN TO MY NEEDS. THEY CUT THE GRASS, THEN SPRAY WITH PESTICIDE AND FERTILIZER. I AM HAPPY WITH THE JOB WHEN IT IS COMPLETED."

"
I called every lawn irrigation company I found on Angie's List with an Aand quot; or and quot;Band quot; rating. This company was the only one who called me back. In a month of waiting, no one else in the city returned my phone call. Several companies said they'd have someone call, and never did.

Someone from Laduke's (presumably the owner / namesake) came out when I was not home, looked around, and sent me an estimate of the cost within a day or two. It was organized like a spreadsheet, listing the parts and labor like you might see from a body shop when having a car repaired. There was no picture or diagram of where the sprinkler heads or control box or extra water meter would go. When I called back to discuss the estimate, the guy I spoke to indicated that diagrams like that were way too time-consuming and he would not make any money if he had to provide them for each estimate. Seems like a reasonable position, but left me as a consumer not knowing what the system would look like. The estimate was about $3,500 for my small neighborhood lot. I have a very small yard, but average for this subdivision. The estimate was for 4 zones, one of which was landscaping / shrubbery. When he and I discussed the estimate over the phone, he said he could eliminate one zone and save a couple hundred dollars, which sounded to me like a small savings for a significant reduction in the system's capability.

I've also learned that it would be a good idea to get a separate water meter installed, since Louisville water bills include expected use of the sewer when that water drains. Adding a separate water meter specifically for lawn sprinklers can eliminate that sewer add-on for the second meter, reducing the cost of water used to irrigate. Installing the second meter was not included in his price. I've also heard that the price he gave me is quite high. The company appears to do both residential and light commercial work, so maybe he just doesn't need jobs as small as my house.

I've also had several recommendations by word of mouth, a few of which were on Angie's List with poor grades. I've called most of them. But as of yet, no one else in a city of over 1 million people has called me back. I'm about ready to rent a trenching machine and do it myself.

"

"They have six different treatments they apply over the course of spring/summer/fall. My lawn is gorgeous this year, all of the neighbors have commented on it. The weeds are gone, the grass is thick and green - they even airate the lawn in the fall.
"

"I used Lawn Cure for several years, providing lawn fertilization and weed control. My yard remains as bad as the day they started. The weeds show up in full force. Lawn Cure sprays, and a large number (but not all) the weeds go away. A week later, the weeds return. But the most frustrating part is the crabgrass. I've talked to them about it, but it hasn't improved year to year."

"Lamb Lawn Service and Landscaping recently completed an extensive front and backyard project for my husband and me. We reside on a hilly lot and needed additional off-street parking and stairway access from street level to our front door. Dave Kruer, designer for Lamb, met with us and presented us with a design that met our needs. Dave and his crew are amazing- this project involved major hardscaping, including removal of unforseen rock, construction of stone retaining walls and stairs, concrete and landscaping. The finished project was completed in unbelievable time, is gorgeous and functional.
Our satisfaction with the project prompted us to enlist Dave and his crew to do and equally extensive revamp of our backyard. They constructed a stone retaining wall, outdoor fireplace, extensive paver patio and access stairs from patio to driveway. Both front and backyard include landscaping and lighting.
These guys are truly talented, professional craftsmen. The quality of their work and final outcome far exceeded our expectations. Several of our neighbors have asked for Dave's contact information and one has already completed a project.
Thanks to R.J. Lamb, Dave Kruer and their outstanding crew."

"Though this company was expensive, they promise that the higher quality mulch will last longer than cheaper mulch used by competitors. They have done the first lawn care fertilization treatment, so only time will tell as to how well that goes. They did a good job overall."

"I have a yearly contract with them. They come out 6-7 times a year with different treatments. The lawn looks great. They are very thorough. If I have questions, they will answer my questions.? Compared to some other services I have had, they do the job that they say they are going to do. They answer questions, if I have any. If there is anything I think they missed, they will come back around and redo it."
