"Thomas was very professional from the very start. He gave an estimate along with a copy of his insurance when he first came out. We booked him a for a few weeks later. He stayed in communication about his arrival, protected our greenhouse and windows while removing stumps near them, and left the site clean. He even chipped and hauled away some of our tree trimmings we had cut. When we’re ready for our large trees to be trimmed in the fall we will hire him again."

Small jobs welcome

"Reliable, personable and affordable. Love this company! They were extremely good at communicating the schedule of the project. Edgar cut several storm damaged branches off one of our trees, cleaned out smaller branches caught in a second tree and cut down a dying maple tree and removed the stump. Great guy, very reasonable prices, thorough clean-up and job well done!"

"Sam is wonderful. We needed a large pine brought down and the stump ground to accommodate a concrete pad for a shed going in quickly. He managed to fit us into his schedule to be just ahead of the concrete work. And his price was on par with another guy who wasn't letting me know his availability. I caught him just as he was finishing up. He told me the power lines were a challenge and that they broke a small landscape light (I had planned to have them removed anyway). Later, while prepping the area, my concrete guy called-- there still was a network of large roots that needed to come out. I called Sam and mentioned that I understood this was beyond the scope of work, but had I known while he was on site, we would have added to the bid. He understood my point and came out at the crack of dawn and took care of it! And, he'd only charge me for the rental of the stump grinder, no labor. This man is all above board, hard working, very knowledgable, and easy to work with. He could have abandoned the remaining work, but he didn't! I hired him to take down another large box elder tree, this time on HIS schedule in the winter, and to prune and treat our old elm in the front yard. My neighbor will likely hire him, too. Sam, the only reason you are a 5.0 is because there is nothing higher!!!"

"Otillo was very responsive to our tree cutting needs and hauls away the branches vs chipping onsite. He uses an electric saw on the end of a long pole, climbs into the tree when necessary. He did 3 large mature trees, removed one small tree. Does stump grinding when he has enough jobs lined up to justify renting a grinder, needs to return for our stump. Runs efficient operation, shows up as promised. Accepts payment on completion."

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Westminster, CO

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
