"Let me begin by saying this was our first time using Angie's List. <br /> We purchased a place in Cape San Blas, and were attempting to do a pretty large renovation project on it. We live outside of Chicago, so taking on a long distance project can be a pretty daunting task. After talking with various painters, we knew Danny was going to be the right fit for us. I will say right off the bat, he will not be the cheapest. If that is  what you will base your decision on, he probably will not the right person for the job. But he is not the most expensive either.  <br /> Danny and his son have truly been a godsend. He is dependable, trustworthy, hard working, detailed, and conscientious. His communication skills are outstanding. He took pictures, asked questions, and kept us updated on everything going on at the townhome. He went above and beyond the scope of work, knowing that we were at such a long distance.  <br /> Danny "and crew" removed the popcorn ceilings, wall paper, and large glued on mirrors. He tore out cabinets, and got rid of old furniture. He patched, painted, and repainted (without complaining) when other contractors would mess up his work, or we would make changes. He worked around endless deliveries of furniture, again without batting an eye.  <br /> Because of the distance, and not knowing the area well, we were unsure of how this project would unfold. We chose only to renovate 1/2 of the townhome this year, but our first call will be to Danny and son next year to finish it up. <br />   <br /> My husband and I own a real estate, development and investment company, Part of what we do is work with new subdivisions, new construction, and renovating houses. Our latest project was a complete renovation of our 3 story 1927 (10,000 sq.ft footprint) office building.
