"Jose and his crew installed a~360 sq. ft. patio using Nicolock pavers and contrasting charcoal border pavers in 2.5 days. Outstanding job. When I asked them about using edging to prevent the pavers from shifting, I was told that he does not use edging. Instead the perimeter is first installed as retaining wall blocks set in mortar! After the perimeter is set, the site is then excavated, compacted, covered with weed suppressing fabric. The fabric is then covered with crushed stone layer, compacted and sand is then laid on top, compacted and leveled and properly graded. I chose the herringbone design shown in their logo and very happy with the choice. The border pavers are laid on top of the retaining wall blocks and are "glued" to them using mortar/liquid cement. After the border pavers had set, the crew applied polymer sand to fill in the gaps between pavers. This "grouting" was done twice. The final product is solid as a rock and not going anywhere! VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK. Jose Espinal's company is insured and bonded, so hire them for your project and be worry free."

"Job entailed demolition and replacement of a long brick wall built on a steep incline, also to build a concrete patio and install a safety fence. Brick wall was over 1000 bricks and the incline made the design much more complicated. Pedro and crew worked mostly weekends and evenings in order to move me up in their schedule - something much appreciated by me. End cost was exactly equal to the agreed to proposal - no surprises. Area was cleaned up well at completion. I'm more than satisfied and have recommended Pedro and crew to two other friends."

"Lily and her crew did an amazing job re-landscaping our backyard. The previous homeowners had an unsightly mix of bushes and shrubs, a brick wall that cut into the usable yard space, and stone/rock work that didn’t match the brick patio. Lily and her team removed everything, fixed the area where the patio had been damaged by a neighboring tree, laid a new brick path matching the existing patio, and plant new ground cover in the yard. "I had an excellent experience with Abel and his team. When we hired this company, we wanted to solve some water issues (my backyard flooded constantly) and we wanted to have a nice place for the kids to play and to hang out. We cannot be happier with the results. This project involved (1) demolition of existing patio and retaining walls, (2) regrading, (3) a new retaining wall and (4) a new patio. As I said, their work was amazing, their prices are good/fair, and I would like to highlight three positive things about this company: (1) they started and finished on time (or close to), which I thought was impossible to find in a contractor. (2) They were very patient and flexible with my work. Given that this was a big project, we had to adjust our plan a couple of times, as we found new issues and understood the water problems better. (3) and definitively not least, this company takes customer satisfaction seriously. This project took place in August 2020, but Abel is still calling me (as of March 2021) to check that everything is working for me. In those phone calls, I have mentioned some details about the work (minor things that are expected in projects are big as mine), and Abel has not hesitated to send someone to fix those small things at no cost (he actually gave me mulch last time he came). This experience me me feel very confident about the quality of their work. In summary, I am very happy to recommend best landscape & construction. Several other companies recommended ripping out the existing patio entirely and replacing it with concrete pavers that are easier (than natural stone) to install. "Lazaro and his crew members, Fidel, William, and Issac, transformed our back yard from being a dirty and unpleasant hellscape where my wife and I never spent any time to being a beautiful and clean space where we can host parties, cookouts, and relax. The crew was extremely professional, organized, thoughtful, experienced, efficient, and communicative throughout the course of the project. I was quite impressed with their design and planning skills, extensive experience, and passion for their work. My wife and I own a small row house with a small back yard, which presented unique challenges to the crew: no back yard access except through neighbors’ properties. The crew handled this challenge well by being communicative and friendly with my neighbors and always cleaning up the space at the end of each working day. They always ensured that the fencing and hardscaping looked good from both sides of the property line, so that my neighbors were also happy! Another challenge was that an adjacent property is about 3 feet above grade and not pleasant to look at from our yard. Lazaro’s planning and vision for a beige brick half-wall, topped with wooden lattice flower boxes was a great finishing touch that provided a beautiful transition between the red brick paver patio and the elevated wooden fence to block the view of the adjacent property. The crew carefully planned their work from the beginning, so that there were no surprises at the end as the finishing touches were put on and the fence was erected. My wife and I are also confident that the money we spent on this work will be a great investment—not only for enjoying our new home, but also in the resale value some day in the future. "We hired Deck & Shed Pros for a diverse set of projects: a custom-built shed, replacement of our window wells, and some repairs to our stone patio. And we couldn’t be happier with how all of them turned out! During the contract phase, Jim, Jen and Victor were incredibly patient in answering all our questions. They were also very flexible on any design issues, ensuring that the projects could be done exactly how we wanted them. For example, they were able to use the same brand and color of vinyl siding on the shed that we recently had installed on our addition (so now they match perfectly), and they adjusted their plans for the window wells to accommodate our chosen style of wells/covers and the necessary depth for digging them out. When Victor and his crew came to install the window wells and make some patio repairs, the work was done beautifully and efficiently. The crew worked really hard, and they cleaned up the yard afterward so there was no debris left behind. One basement window pane got cracked as they were removing the old brick-and-concrete window wells, and they did a wonderful job of replacing the whole window with plexiglass (which was a painstaking task given the age of the window and how it was installed). People don’t usually think of window wells as beautiful, but the new ones that they installed for us (galvanized steel with polycarbonate covers) have totally transformed and modernized that part of the house. Victor and his team were so friendly and easy to work with. They also poured the concrete pad for our shed, making sure it was smooth and level—and in the exact location that we wanted. Victor even spread grass seed and straw over any disturbed areas. When the shed was ready for installation, the manufacturer’s crew came out to build it on-site. They were super professional, and the whole thing was done in about 6 hours. It’s made of high-quality materials and it’s gorgeous to look at—really complements the style of our home. A couple items had been missing from the shed kit, so someone came right out a few days later to make the necessary fixes. When we saw that it needed a single step under the side door, Jim had someone here within about a week to build one from scratch. Everyone was very prompt and responsive to any issues that came up. Through all of it, the communication with Jen and Jim was outstanding—they were always reachable by phone or email, and Jim would send out email updates every Friday, to keep us apprised of any developments or changes to the timeframe. I highly recommend Deck & Shed Pros for sheds, decks, or any other outside contracting work. (If you’re not sure whether it’s something they do, just ask! We didn’t know what kind of company to hire for the window wells, but they got it done with no problem.) We are thrilled with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to call them again for other jobs in the future."
