"The service was excellent. I need to have some repair work done of from door. A section of the door jamb was damaged and I couldn't lock the deadbolt. Ed fixed that section and replaced the piece of molding that was damaged. The deadbolt works great now and the front looks 100 times better. Overall, I give an A+."

"Nik and his team at Somerset Painting and Home Improvements did an amazing job with my basement and garage remodel (please see photos)! I had never hired a contractor before, so I was somewhat cautious and apprehensive. However, my fears and apprehension were quickly allayed by Nik and his team, who were very professional, efficient, communicated well, and performed all of the work with an attention to detail that exceeded my expectations! All of the subcontractors who worked with Nik at Somerset Painting and Home Improvements, including drywallers, tilers, electrician, floor epoxy, etc., did superior work and I could not be more pleased with the results! Before the remodel I had carpet, drop ceiling with fluorescent lighting, and some unnecessary partition walls in the basement. The project started with a water leak. Nik recommended removing the ceiling tiles, painting the ceiling black, and installing down lights. He also recommended removing the partition walls and adding an egress window to open up the basement. I hadn't thought of these things and appreciated his suggestions. During the course of the project, I decided to convert the space to a gym and added a bathroom. Nik was very accommodating with the many changes that I made to the plan, and I appreciated his flexibility. He even installed a sauna in the spare basement room, which turned out great! Nik's tiler did an incredible job with the bathroom tile work! The garage was a mess before the remodel. Nik and his team repaired the drywall and installed wall storage panels throughout the garage, which allowed me to organize all of my tools. Mat did an amazing job with the garage floor epoxy. Dragon (electrician at Somerset) did a phenomenal job installing hexagon ceiling lights in the garage and down lights with smart switches in the basement. He also installed a Ring security camera and some exterior outlets. All of Dragon's work was exceptional! Several months after the work was completed, I had another project that I needed Nik's help with, and he generously took time out of his busy schedule to accommodate me, which was greatly appreciated! I highly recommend Somerset Painting and Home Improvements, and I am very confident that you will be as pleased as I am with the work that they do for you!"

"For the money I spent to have them paint my house, and the quality of their work I’d say 2 stars. I am finding more and more spots where they have paint drips, chunks, over spray and spots where they look like they were running out of paint. Most of these spots you can’t see unless you have the lighting just right. Which thankfully you can’t see otherwise. But moving furniture and moving my floor lamps is how I noticed these issues 6 months after the fact. As a new homeowner you live and learn…I will make sure to use a fine toothed comb on anyone I hire from now on."

"We hired Clean Cut Painting for a $20K job based on their quick quote and no deposit. While work started fast, the experience went downhill. There were surprise charges, and key items like door handles and outlet covers were removed but never reinstalled. Paint was left on floors, tile, and even on our carpet. When I brought up the carpet damage, Matt said, ?It needed to be replaced anyway??even though we had told him it wouldn?t be. Wall hardware and mirrors were removed with permission, but instead of being reinstalled, everything was tossed in the garage and mixed with trash. On the final Saturday, Matt worked briefly and left his crew to finish. I watched them rush cleanup the moment he left, leaving a mess. I later told Matt he should?ve told his crew he?d be back to inspect?it might?ve led to a better outcome. While I appreciated the fast start and no deposit, the lack of professionalism, poor finish, and dismissive responses mean I wouldn?t hire them again."

"TrueCoats LLC was absolutely the best for my job I needed done. Repair holes left from putting in ceiling fans, fixed a crack in one of my ceilings. They were polite and very thorough. The put plastic every where, they had to sand, and when they left I didn't even have to clean a counter. There was no dust anywhere. The work , was amazing, the boss was very careful while inspecting the work, making sure everything was perfect and it was. They really could not have done it better .
