He explained in detail what treatments he was going to put on the lawn. Matthew did a very thorough job making sure he treated all areas of our lawn. Rutland Turf has some very good equipment for their techs to use, and Matt was adept at using the ride-on lawn spreader/sprayer. We're very pleased with his work today! We have a small landscaping project that we'll be contacting Rutland about. After seeing the quality of their work today, we won't hesitate to have them give us a price for another project."

We paid in advance for the aeration/overseeding and all the fall lawn treatments and then never heard back from the company. After a few weeks we called the business line and the owner/manager's cell phone and he never called us back. We called both more than once and even told the receptionist that we were going to have to cancel the service and ask for a refund and he did not call us back. Finally we cancelled the service and asked for a refund. Now it's probably too late to hire someone else. Very disappointing."

"I had hired Arborway many years ago to remove a tree from my yard, so I called them to inquire about a quote to trim my neighbor's trees back from my house.  When I called, I was told that if I wanted to schedule an appointment for a quote, it would take several weeks due to the fact that they were still busy after Hurricane Irene.  The woman I spoke with recommended that we simply have one of their arborists stop by the house when he was able to and then he would call me to discuss the work, probably within a week, so that's the option I took.  <br /> <br /> Coincidentally, I ran into the arborist as I was on my way out of the house one day.  We chatted briefly about the job, and soon afterwards, I received an estimate in the mail.  The quote was within 5% of another quote I got for the same job, so it seemed reasonable, but I didn't like the fact that I wouldn't have met the arborist if I hadn't accidentally run into him when he was at the house.  I like to be able to meet with the people who are going to do the work, or at least meet someone who represents the company so I can get a feel for their expertise and professionalism.   <br /> <br /> As it turns out, our neighbor hired their own tree trimmer to cut the trees back, so I didn't have to hire anyone for the job.  But I wouldn't have hired Arborway due to the way they arranged for the estimate.   Although it may have been the most efficient way to provide an estimate, it didn't seem to me like the most professional way. <br />"
