"I would certainly use At Your Service again or recommend to a friend or family member in need of a roof repair or replacement. My roof was on it's last leg, and they did a fantastic job replacing it. They arrived on time and they finished my entire roof in 2 days. Originally they expected it would only take one day, but, as I said, my roof was in pretty bad shape so I had no issues with the extra day because it meant they were doing a thorough job and not rushing to get to their next project. They provided a free estimate, and they were extremely knowledgeable and transparent about the cost, which is especially important when you're on a tight budget. There weren't any surprises when I received my invoice. Their prices are comparable to other estimates that I received, but I honestly believe that I got a better value with At Your Service, and I would highly recommend."

"I've had two experiences with Advantage Roofing. One was installation of a new roof on one residence and the repair of an existing roof/installation of flue covers. Both jobs were handled promptly, professionally and in a quality fashion. The applied their same work ethic to both the large and small jobs."

"MAKE THIS COMPANY YOUR FIRST STOP! It will save you so much time & frustration. I went thru 3 other roofers before I found them & none came close to their customer service. Everyone I dealt with from Patrick to Brandon, Scot & Pete were nothing short of amazing. Pat talked me through the overwhelming insurance issues & Scot managed to get me worked in quickly after understanding the difficulties I had been thru the last 3 months. The crew swept in like a swat team & got my roof replaced in 4 hours. All the neighbors were commenting on how quickly & hard the crew had worked. They replaced a rear gutter with the same professionalism a week later. Although I continue to deal with insurance from the storm damage, I am so thankful for this company. Without them I would still have holes in my roof & no rear gutters. Save yourself the frustration that I experienced, contract with Bone Dry!"

"Had an old asbestos roof that had started leaking into the dining room ceiling and needed to be replaced. Had an abatement contractor remove the asbestos roof & Molloy installed the new roof, also replacing the flashing & valleys. The crew installing the roof was first rate and took the time to do it right. They don't use nail guns but hammer each roofing nail individually. Ted the foreman on the job came by in the early stages of the install because we were expecting a major rainstorm & he got up on the roof to be sure it was water tight. And again after the roof was completely install, he came again , got up on the roof for a final inspection. This was greatly appreciated and tells you a lot about what kind of company Molloy is running. They've been in business for well over 100 yrs."

"<p>I called to get a roof inspection after a few shingles were blown off in the April 2 storm. The first available appointment was in three weeks. My shingles were discontinued by the manufacturer. So, I was concerned about getting something that would closely match my shingles. Also, the entire roof needed to be inspected for additional damage beyond what I could see. I had talked to other roofers that said the entire roof needed to be replaced and my insurance would pay for it.  I really just wanted an accurate assessment of what needed to be done. The Ray St. Clair roof inspector recommended a repair for the small damaged area and gave me an estimate. He didn't try to talk me into a whole new roof. The repair was done a week after getting the estimate. They were good about communicating and doing what they said they would do. I was very happy that they matched my shingles so well that the repaired area isn't something that's noticeable. I would definitely use them in the future, and even though I only did a repair this time, be comfortable using them for a total roof replacement in the future.</p>"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Williamsburg, OH

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
