Customers say: Quick response

"Doug came out to give the bid in a timely manner and informed me if he was going to be on time or running early. I was out of town for a funeral when the work was performed but when I returned home I was pleasantly surprised that not only were the stumps removed but the clean up was meticulous and my neighbors were extremely happy as well! Iâ d highly suggest him to remove any tree stumps necessary."

"I hired Strunk Tree Removal to remove 10 over grown shrubs from the back yard and trim 3 large (over 50') Tree's from my front yard. Dan gave me a very reasonable price quote and we agreed on a timeframe. I called to confirm the date was still good (we had received a lot of rain and wanted to make sure work hadn't backlogged on him) and he confirmed we were still on. He and his employee came out and cut all the shrubs down, leaving just stumps and shredding/chipping them into a truck on day one. He also got some of the lower branches he could reach with tree climbing ropes and harness. The second day they came back, they ground all the shrub stumps to below ground level so my mower will not hit them and racked the area so there was no sign of shrubs ever being there, other than the bare area's needing sodding. Day three, they brought a bucket truck and finished off the higher branches on the Oaks in the front yard, again hauling them away and leaving no sign they were here other than the tree's being trimmed and healthier for not having these dying and low hanging branches over my power lines and my neighbors. Dan was polite, prompt and professional and treated my property as he would have his own. It was cleaned each day prior to leaving with no sign of them being here, even going as far as blowing the driveway clean of sawdust after trimming the branches on two of the trees over that area. They raked also and left my property clean and safe at the end of every day. I can't recommend Strunk Tree Removal high enough if you have tree or shrub trimming or removal needs. Their price was a bargain, communication excellent and their professionalism unmatched by any contractor I have used in my 57 years of life. If the rating system allowed, I'd give them a 10 on a 5 point scale."

"Anthony trimmed 2 trees and removed a large shrub and planted grass seed. He did a wonderful job on all 3 projects. He is an artist on trimming trees. They look better than I could imagine. The area where the shrub was removed is level and seeded and is just what I wanted. I couldn’t be happier with his work."

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Williamsburg, OH

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
