"Kenny and his team did a fantastic job transforming our backyard building an outdoor fireplace, natural bluestone patio, walkway and built in kitchen. I have recommended him to several friends and all have been pleased with the work and very fair pricing."

"I recently bought a mountain cabin and discovered some challenges with water: the cabin is located in an area with a lot of streams and water flow, which can lead to flooding in the crawlspace. The land immediately surrounding the cabin had poor grading, leading water straight towards the foundation, where it was trapped with nowhere to go. I reached out to Jim at Riggs Landscaping to solicit help regrading the property. From initial contact through project completion, I was extremely impressed with Jim and his crew. Jim quickly came out in the Fall to take a look, offering suggestions for regrading the area around the house. Gutters in the back of the house went into corrugated plastic piping in the ground, which appeared to be clogged somewhere. In addition to regrading, Jim offered to replace the pipes in the ground. He initially suggested using corrugated plastic pipes, but I suggested upgrading to solid PVC, and he was happy to adapt his quote to accommodate that request. It was too late in the season to begin the work, but Jim stayed in touch with me over the winter and answered my questions. Then, once spring arrived on the mountain, we set a date for the work, which took three days. Jim was on site doing the work himself with two hard working crew members. They carefully regraded the lot, installing four new runs of 4" PVC pipe from the gutter downspouts into the woods. The property is very rocky, which increased the difficulty of the work, but he brought sufficient equipment to handle the job. Several heavy rainstorms later, the regrading is making a big difference, allowing water in the backyard to flow away from the house and into the woods. It was a pleasure working with Jim and I won't hesitate to use his company for future projects. The work was completed on time, was priced reasonably, and the final price matched the estimate. I strongly recommend Riggs Landscaping!"

"Wonderfully! Despite the monsoon-like weather in early November 2018, FINE's crew came in and found a way to complete the job in a little more than two days. Mike and his sales team were friendly and upfront about the job, we chose the best solution for the task at hand, and top-quality materials and installation practices were used to ensure a long life for the three-board paddock fence with wire-mesh pet fencing that was installed. The installation crew was efficient and on-task, even working in the rain to get the job done. Very pleased with the process and the outcome."

"Things went well. Project took longer than expected but tuned out exactly how we wanted it built. Built 18ft x 40ft gunite pool, all equipment and heater were installed, upgraded plaster to crystal stones smooth which turned out amazing, and had about 1000sqft of paver patio installed around the pool."

"They did an awesome job. They went above and beyond. They came out earlier than they said they would, they mowed and they edged, cleaned up everything. They were here once they returned the call. He was on vacation called me back. I was gone for two hours, and when I came back my lawn was done. I cannot speak highly enough of them."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Williamsport, MD

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
