"Dennis was great to work with. Had a property in Danbury with a huge retaining wall that the previous homeowner built and failed (not to code). Dennis came in and was honest about having to redo the entire thing (which was the right call).. He taught me about the type of block to use, geogrid spacing, how important the base prep was, as well as drainage, picked the colors of the blocks and caps to match my rental, sent me photo updates along the way, was extremely professional. My father oversaw the job steps and has around 40 years of experience in commercial real estate in midtown Manhattan. He has seen just about everything from failing foundations on a 40 story building, entire high rise floods, and buildings being brought out of the ground. He doesnâ t settle for anything but perfection, done once and done right. He gave the project a stamp of approval which was great. Said Dennis was professional and would recommend we use him on any hardscape masonry work on our new constructions in Western and central CT. Take this comment for what itâ s worth. Youâ ll get a good guy, at a fair amount price to do great work."

"Geoff and his team were absolutely great. Jeff made some suggestions for our project that we had never even thought of, and we are glad that we decided to follow his advice. His workers were dedicated to making the end result just the way we wanted it. I highly recommend Exteriors Inc. If you hire them for your project, you won't be sorry."

"We had two walkways and a patio installed by this company. Their pricing is fair, they start when they says they will start, and the work is impeccable. I would highly recommend this company. "

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Wilton, CT

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
