"Mike and his team from American Aquascape rebuilt our 4,500 gal Koi pond and turned it into a paradise with beautiful waterfalls, rocks, plants, and best of all we can see our 30+ Koi clearly through the water. Every aspect was handled with utmost attention to detail, from pump, filter, and pipe selection to rock and water plant placement, and with creativity and enthusiasm (for example, I would not have thought of installing in-pond lighting but was glad I accepted Mike's suggestion- it is beautiful at night to see the fish swimming around and exploring their world). The pond was previously set up by a DIFFERENT company, that in retrospect were "out of their depth" (pun intended!), underestimating the water flow and filtration needs of our pond and placing equipment in suboptimal places. This led to several years of dark green, opaque water where we could not see fish, despite constantly backwashing, changing filters, pond cleanouts, etc. In fact, the water was never clear from the very start. However, after American Aquascapes rebuilt our pond, correcting the mistakes made by the previous company, I realized that having clear water where the fish are happy and visible is a totally achievable goal-- a natural and logical outcome when your pond is set up correctly from the beginning. I would highly recommend hiring American Aquascapes if you want a Koi pond or water feature, or need help with your existing one. They are extremely knowledgeable and experienced and are the experts by far; there is really no comparison to anyone else in this area.
