We had a small drywall patch to be repaired and textured to be ready to paint. Keith laid out plastic and paper from the front door to the bedroom. Covered the bedroom floor and bookshelves with plastic. After securing the replacement piece of sheetrock and taping the seams, he put two layers of mud (two different types to assure the paint would not have an unnatural sheen) and then applied the texture material to an area that was perhaps 4-5 times the area of the patch to so it blended in with the existing textured ceiling.
