"I initially called them to get an estimate and they scheduled a time to come out and look at it. They rang the doorbell 90 minutes before the scheduled appointment; because I was working from home anyway (2020) I was able to accommodate this, but normally I would expect a courtesy call to ask if it was OK for them to show up early. After comparing options, I called back a few weeks later to go ahead with the work. They could not find my records, so they took my information and said they'd call me back. The next day they found my information under a misspelling of my last name (this is why every other company indexes you by phone number). We agreed on the work to be done and where I would normally expect to schedule a specific appointment, they ended the call without doing that. Several weeks later, without any warning, someone shows up to do the work. Again, no advance call, and no appointment. They complete the work, and we ask if we can pay by credit card. The contractor says he can't take one, but they can invoice us and we can pay by credit card that way. About a week went by and the invoice arrives with literally zero instructions for how to pay it. No return envelope (I would accept an unstamped one) and no lines to write a credit card number on. We called to ask if we could pay by credit card over the phone, and were told they do not take credit cards at all. If we had known that, we could have just given the contractor a check when he was here. All of that said, I have no issue with the *quality* of the work, or the value for cost paid, but the process left a great deal to be desired."

"I signed up for an Angie’s Deal for siding repair. They were hard to contact. Set an appointment for June 27, 2019 and he didn’t show up or call that he was running late (nonexistent). I never heard from him, so I called the office to let them know what happened and I would not be needing their services. Very unprofessional."

Yes, invisible fences can function effectively on properties with slopes when properly installed. The key consideration is maintaining consistent signal strength throughout elevation changes. Professional installers can adjust installation depth and transmitter settings to accommodate terrain variations. Special installation techniques may be required to ensure reliable boundary enforcement and pet safety for particularly steep slopes or challenging soil conditions.
Most invisible fence wire repairs cost between $100 and $300, depending on the specific issue. Common repair needs include fixing broken boundary wires, replacing malfunctioning transmitters, or addressing collar receiver problems. Battery replacements represent the most frequent maintenance expense, typically costing between $10 and $50, depending on your system model. Professional diagnosis and repair services help ensure your system returns to full functionality quickly.
Many pet owners find that invisible fencing provides good value compared to conventional fencing options. These systems cost less than physical barriers while preserving property aesthetics and views. Invisible fences also allow flexibility for irregularly shaped properties and can work in areas where physical fencing might be restricted. The effectiveness depends partly on your pet's temperament and consistent training, so consider your specific animal's behavior when evaluating this containment option.
With proper maintenance, most invisible fence systems provide reliable service for several years before requiring significant upgrades. Regular battery replacements and occasional system checks help extend equipment lifespan. Individual components like transmitters or collar receivers can be replaced as needed without reinstalling the entire system. Environmental factors such as soil conditions and climate can affect underground wire longevity, while proper surge protection helps prevent premature system failure.
Regular maintenance expenses include periodic replacement of collar batteries, which cost between $10 and $50, depending on your specific system. Boundary wire repairs might be necessary if landscaping activities or ground shifting cause damage, with repair costs ranging from $100 to $300. System checks are recommended seasonally, especially after extreme weather events. Some owners also invest in backup power solutions or surge protection to prevent system interruptions during power outages.
