They took our 35 year old kitchen with dark, outdated cabinets, awful tile, no space for a microwave and gave us a bright, beautiful, convenient kitchen that we absolutely love. It is a world of difference! They painted the cabinets a beautiful light grey & installed new cabinet hardware, installed new subway wall tiles and new white countertops with integrated sink, converted a pantry cabinet with pull-out drawers, and modernized the cabinet base, all within a very tight timeframe and at a comfortable price. They worked with us on the inevitable plan revisions and made great suggestions, all with good humor and patience. They were terrific!"

"Joe was excellent, and the end product looks terrific. The work was done correctly (doors spray painted in his shop; layers of primer and then application of paint specific for this purpose) and he showed up as he said he would on each visit. Joe was easy to deal with, and I felt very comfortable having him in my house. Note that the vanity cabinets (minus the doors) are painted in your home using a spray gun. Again, the proper layers of primer and paint are applied, and (to my surprise) Joe used commercial ventilation fans/ductwork to ensure minimal fumes in my home. That was really appreciated. I would use Zillo Refinishing again, and I've already recommended them to friends. Thanks!"

"We wanted our kitchen cabinets refinished rather than replacing them.  We contacted Save Wood based on reviews from Angie's List. Dave came out to our home, brought samples of their work and gave us a price. He was very friendly and answered our questions.  It seemed reasonable and we decided to go with them. He said the holidays were approaching and they were busy, so it would be a couple of weeks before they would begin the process.  Overall, once they were finished, we were pleased with the cabinets. Save Wood added trim, glazed it as we asked and they look very nice.  However, there were things along the way that we were not as pleased about.  We were not aware that it would take over 3 months for the work.  Many messages and emails were not responded to during the process.  Since completion I have emailed and called and these have not been responded to.  There were a couple of times I visited their workspace, to keep things moving. Everyone I encountered was friendly.

Would I use them again?  I'm not sure. Although the quality was good and I love my cabinets, the responsiveness needed improvement and was very frustrating during the process.
