From the quoting process to the project execution we had a great experience with them and we developed as good and friendly relationship with both the field and the office teams. "When making the appointments I was always clear that I wanted the out of place shingle addressed and confirmed I would not need to be home for the visit. Scheduling got rained off 3 times (nothing they could do about that), but I had to follow up with them to reschedule. The last time I called to reschedule, I was told that the service had been completed and the result was “no shingles were out of place & they could not get access to the rear of the property, as it was fenced.” That's it! I eventually talked with the technician responsible for the visit who informed me: 1. He did not actually visit but sent someone else 2. They will not open a gate as they are concerned about dogs and liabilities (really…. & the gate was open that day)! 3. He was unaware this was an angieslist tune up and when he realized that, he stated the roof was too steep to qualify and that's why they did not go on the roof The difficulties scheduling, level of communication and the technician’s story did not make me feel comfortable continuing to work with them and we agreed they would refund the “deal”. The management team was then very responsive and professional and the deal was refunded immediately. I am now getting another angieslist contractor to look and quote for the repair. I did not believe the claim that my roof is too steep to qualify for the deal. It does not look anything special, it is the same as all the others in our neighborhood and contractors have walked on mine and neighbors before. BUT from accurate measurement in the attic, I confirmed it is an 8-12 roof which does not qualify for any roof deals on angieslist. Before purchasing any roof tune up deal, I would recommend members go into their attic and measure the rise for a horizontal run to confirm their roof is within deal specifications (6 inches rise for 12 inches of horizontal travel)."

"I wasn't really happy with the service.  They hired someone else to do our roof.  I actually wanted the roofer that worked for the company to do the work. Three or four months later we had a wind storm and it knocked three or four shingles off. I called Mark and he came back out to fix it. We had a communication problem in the beginning but since have worked on the issue."

"After a 1950 era house I own started to have a major water leak in a day-long major storm, I quickly did some research and left messages (around 4:00 to 5:30 in the evening) for 4 roofers that had been highly rated on Angie's List. One called back a week later, two never called back at all, and one (B&D) called back that night or the next morning (I don't remember which).  B&D's responsiveness was a pleasant contrast to the lack of responsiveness of the other roofing contractors.  After I spoke with them,  B&D scheduled an estimate for two days hence on a Saturday (they would have scheduled the very next day if my brother's work schedule had allowed), discussed the estimate and work involved with me, and scheduled the work for the next day, a Sunday. Another storm was coming through the next day so we had incentive for getting this fixed as soon as possible. This group was very professional and I will call B&D again if I have roofing needs. <br /> The price was $950 for two chimneys - one which was larger chimney in an older house which had a major leak, and one chimney which was smaller and not leaking yet, but was in comparable condition and needed the same work. I did some google searches, and this seemed in line with many quoted ranges. In any case, since no-one else called back, I wasn't able to get a comparison quote for this exact job, and I was satisfied that the price was in the ballpark of what I should pay. All in all, I was very pleased with the experience and B&D's work, responsiveness, and quick scheduling of work. I will definitely call them again if I have other roofing issues."
