"Worst Moving Experience Ever – A Complete Scam business Beware of the dirty tricks used by this moving company: 1. Deliberate Delays to Increase Charges – The movers idled and wasted time, dragging out the job to charge more by the hour. 2. Extortion for Additional Payments – They held our furniture hostage, threatening to cancel the job on moving day and demanding extra payments before downloading furnitures 3. Absurd Excuses – traffic cause delays, claimed we had "too many" boxes not listed in the inventory (such a joke, all quoted companies said boxes do not matter), and using the elevator for moving causing delay(WT*?); Furniture wrapping—something other moving companies all do—cost time. All the excuses they can imagine to waste more time. 4. Abusive Customer Service – When we called the office to report the delays, they yelled at us, interrupted, do not let us speak, and even hung up. Later, we were harassed with repeated calls. 5. Poor Furniture Assembly – They left our bed frame and office desk wobbly and unstable. See the pictures below for proof. We have used four different moving companies before and obtained quotes from four others for this move. Every other mover completed our moving in six hours for a local move. All the quotes we received estimated the job would take six hours. However, this company wasted four hours just loading the truck while demanding full payment above the agreed price. They deliberately m overcharged us. This was essentially a gangster-style, robbery-like moving experience. The movers arrived significantly late, frequently disappeared during the job. When we called the office to report their laziness and inefficiency, they threatened to cancel the job and unload all our furniture after 3.5 hours—when 90% of it was already loaded onto the truck! Then they hung up on us. Later, we were bombarded with harassing calls. On-site, the staff also threatened to cancel the job in front of our neighbors. Fortunately, the entire building know their behavior and will never book them in the future. This was an absolute nightmare. Imagine having your moving job canceled on moving day, especially when you’re busy and stressed, your lease has ended, your cleaning is scheduled, and your leasing office is closely monitoring your move-out. After being hung up on and begging them not to cancel, they demanded extra payments not included in the contract, holding our belongings hostage at the destination. To make things worse, the furniture they assembled was so wobbly we had to hire a handyman to fix it. We know what hard-working and efficient movers look like—we’ve hired them before! We have never been threatened with job cancellation, forced to pay extra before completion, or left with unstable furnitures! The person named Joey was the ringleader of this scam—yelling, interrupting, threatening, and pretending to be hard-working before we signed the contract. Such experience deserved to be reported to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and filed a detailed scam complaint. This company doesn’t make friends in business; they make enemies on purpose. The second set of movers arrived at the appointed time then angled for a tip stating that there was an elevator charge of $300 (would it have been better to use the stairs to a 4th floor apt). Two small incidents with the move in-2 pieces of furniture were damaged, which I filed with the moving company, 3 months later no word on that claim, and, the movers failed to wash their hands after using my bathroom. Going forward, To have better control over the delivery and quality of work of the move effort, on both ends, I found it easier to coordinate the 3 phases of packing, moving and unpacking on my own; and hopefully I will see the funds from the insurance claim."
