"After having a leaking problem coming from our chimney, we noticed some damage to our roof that was probably from a storm the year before and we wanted to get an evaluation of what sort of things would need to be done to improve it.  We had used Doug's Roofing 6 months before for an ice dam removal and I was so impressed with Doug and his service, I decided to contact him again to assess my roof.  We also started the process of seeing if our insurance company would help us with replacement costs.  After my initial meeting with Doug and my phone call to the insurance company, I didn't even need to do that much other that pick out the shingles.  Doug took care of most of the insurance stuff for us, including being there when the assessor came to view the roof and submitting the invoices and photos of the work done directly to the insurance company.  He and his team (one to four other guys depending on the day) work for several days to re-deck the whole house and garage (they were replacing what was probably 94 year old wood), put on new shingles, new vents on the garage, fresh flashing on the chimney, and even adjusted some of the siding that was impacted by the changes on the roof (and one that was just falling off the side of my house).  All of them were very nice.  The were delayed several time due to rain so that made it take a bit longer, but they still got done before my requested deadline.  The whole thing, from the time I first contacted Doug to when the final insurance payment came, was probably about two months.  I am so pleased with the results!  Doug is so nice, so helpful and so professional! <br />"

"AAA+++ Just Fabulous! I met Pro Tech Senior Project Manager Nathan Knopp at my home after a terrible hail and wind storm struck my community on Lake Pulaski in Buffalo, MN this summer. Nathan was professional, courteous, respectful, fast, efficient and very easy to work with during the entire process of the work that Pro Tech did for us - Damage Assessment, Insurance Claim Submission / Estimate / Approval, Roof Shingle and Gutter Selection, Scheduling Work, Managing the Work Process and Follow-Thru. Nathan Knopp was very* well versed on how to best interface with our home insurance company and was able to fast track a claim to them using their own claim submission app / process. As a result, we were able to get our roof repair expedited which suited us perfectly. Pro Tech is a Platinum Partner with Owens Corning which means we were able to do a wholesale level upgrade on our shingles to TrueDefinition Duration Designer Level shingles and we decided on the Merlot pattern/color. Our materials and crew showed up as promised and the work was done fast and efficient and passed inspection with the City of Buffalo easily. With Nathan Knopp's guidance and support, we were also able to upgrade our gutter guard to a style/manufacturer that is better suited/engineered to our steep roof pitch for our designer lake home. I have to say that working with Nathan Knopp and Pro Tech was easy and very informative and my wife and I feel that we came away from this experience with not only an upgraded roof and gutters, but with a lot more understanding of how the roof and gutter system in our home works to protect our home from the elements. When it turned out we didn't have an issue with blockage, but rather an improperly positioned Gutter Helmet, Kevin went above and beyond to make sure that this was fixed and we were happy. "I hired Roof-to-Deck Restoration for a two part job: restain the deck and powerwash the paver patio under the deck. The patio is about 12'x20' or so. The main goal was that it needed jointing sand and I needed the moss, grass, ant mounts removed along with a gernal cleaning. I infomed them of my intent prior to sending money or anything and they affirmed that the power washing would definitely prep the patio to the point where jointing sand could be applied. Upon completion, the patio was mostly good but there were spots that needed additional work. Not ideal but not a big enough of a deal as I could take care of them myself. The deck (which sits above the patio) desperately needed to be power washed and re-stained. It is a fairly small deck (10'x10' or so). The quote was a little high but I was OK with it as I was presuming they were a top notch company based on reviews. They first came out and power washed/cleaned the deck of the old stain. They had left some pretty large portions that still had stain on them. I contacted them and they commented that they were in fact big and someone came out and cleaned those areas again. The next step was to stain the deck which went well. There were areas that had a significant amount more of stain than the others and other areas that looked like it was barely even touched. Overall it looks good, but knowing about the variation in the amount of stain used in areas hinders my overall opinion of it. Upon completion, I noticed that there were numerous areas puddles of stain on the paver patio that lies under my deck from where the stain dripped from the above deck. Most of them were small (1"-2" in diameter), but they were everywhere. In addition, there were two large areas, one about 12" in diameter and another one that was probably the equivalent of 14-16" in diameter (it was an oblong shape). I informed them of this and they mentioned that they would be sending someone out to clean the stains. They ended up coming out 4 times to try and clean the stains (along with me power washing) but they are still noticeable. The patio bricks look much more worn than the rest of the patio due to the cleaners they have used as well. The manager finally stopped out to take a look at the stains. The overall summary was to just let them sit and hope that they come out over the winter: not exactly what I was wanting to hear. After all is said and done, the deck mainly looks very nice with some areas that could have used more attention. The patio stains though will be a reminder though that I won't hire them again the future."
