"Gosh, where do I start? We had a complete James Hardie siding remodel, and on the one hand, Opal did a great job. But, dealing with their constant miscommunications and failures to uphold their end of the contract is just too much for one to handle. After investing just under $50k into this project, we were doing the final walk around there were some things that needed to be touched-up. When they came back to do the work, they treated us with such disrespect as if we were bothering them to adjust some things that the crew so clearly rushed on during the install. One crew member showed up to our house late in the evening, just before dark to install something and did not even call first. Then he knocked on the door and said: *Check* for the final payment. We were not tricky clients, and we were hardly ever around during the day. Towards the end, we got nothing but rudeness because they wanted us to accept what they did and not want everything to look like we were paying $50k. Opals staff will tell you things that are not true, cause a lot of frustration and try to hold you accountable for it. They will also mail your address on a flyer out to everyone in your surrounding neighborhood. So be prepared for strangers to be driving by - though they consider this as *marketing* - without your consent, of course. Would I recommend Opal? No. We are now getting quotes for windows/doors and a roof but with a different company - though Opal does all of this."

"Quote given by phone and appointment scheduled. Guys communicated by text in advance of arrival on appointment day. Arrived as promised and quickly fixed door. Very friendly interactions. Only strange thing was the repair person said the price was $130, but I had been quoted $80. When I pushed back, he immediately conceded to $80 price. Not sure what happened there, but glad it didn't turn into any conflict."

"Angel did an AMAZING job! He tore down an old pool deck and rebuilt an entirely new lower and upper deck, with 2 sets of stairs. From start to finish, working with Cassandra and Angel was easy. They kept constant communications and updates, kept the process moving, and were very knowledgeable when we had questions. Angel was timely, efficient and prompt; there were extremely hot or rainy days, where I thought it wouldn’t be possible to work in those conditions, but he made it work! I can’t praise them enough for their hard work and dedication to making our dream deck come true and making the process seamless. We had several quotes from competitors and the vibe of the others either didn’t understand what we wanted or just always tried to upsell. Minquiz came in with a reasonable & affordable quote that didn’t compromise what we envisioned. They made adjustments and recommendations to the plan as needed, with clear communication. We plan to hire them for future home projects!"

"Roman came to my house to review the project and we negotiated cost. I felt he was fair/polite and was happy to work with him. Was also pleased that he had availability that same week I wanted to start the project. He came prepared and took great care while working in my home to ensure the work area was clean after he was done. The end result of the project also met my expectation of quality. As other reviewers have said he may work a little slow but the quality speaks for itself. I much rather have the job done right than rushed with a poor quality of work. I would recommend Roman if you need help on certain jobs around the house and I will hire him again for any new projects that come around."

"Tomas came out and did the required work and did a nice job. Considering that these were old closet doors and hardware, the "patchwork" job was just what we wanted without having to do a major overhaul of buying and installing completely new doors."

"He was amazing. He replaced my ceiling fan in the dining room, replaced my kitchen faucet and fixed my toilet that was not flushing correctly. I also added a few things that I needed done and he completed my list. Everything looks amazing and he was very neat and tidy. It’s really hard to find a good handyman and he is the best!"
