"We asked, on several occasions, to NOT spew wet newly mowed grass up onto our deck, fence, and grandchildrenâ s swing set. Instead we asked for the backyard to be push mowed, and, on two occasions last (2023) they did push mow it and it was fine. This year they continued to mow early in the morning when the grass was still wet with dew, they spewed it up onto the Trex deck and we would then have to spend literally hours cleaning it off because once it dried it would stick! They are still mowing for the neighbor and they are still spewing into the outside of our fence. Abel has always been cordial on the phone but we had to stop their services. I feel bad leaving this review as we have been using Abel for years but the Trex deck is new this past fall and they simply wonâ t stop with the problem."

"I had a huge lawn project and they exceeded expectations—all 5 Stars! I had them remove 12+ shrubs; trim weeping cherry; cleanup & reshape landscape beds; add lattice to the bottom of and re-stain the deck; bury downspouts etc. And I appreciated the extra time spent to repair an old fence gate; remove an unsightly stump; and add grass seed. Bobby provided a detailed, written estimate within 24 hours of my call. He was very responsive, organized, and kept me up to date throughout the project. The entire crew was a pleasure to work with and did an excellent job. Highly recommend Harris & Son’s."

"Really disappointed in the entire experience with grounds quality lawn. Starting with just initiating the job, it took nearly a month to get responses from them and get someone out to start work. I only stuck with it at that point because a family friend said they were good but should have gone with my gut and found another company at that point. The guys they sent were constantly taking breaks and at one point the foreman even grabbed my fishing pole and spent about 30 min fishing while the remaining four watched him. This wouldn't have bothered me as much if the rate I was paying was more reasonable but they were charging me about $600 per hour for the 5 guys so these breaks and fishing sessions were costing me a lot of money. I voiced my concern with the project manager who just made excuses and cared not at all about what was going on. I asked to speak to owner Justin grounds who did the same. Just excused the behavior and had no problem with it whatsoever. All the while no one could explain why the hourly rate was so high when the guys were working so inefficiently. They kept saying the hourly rate was $60 per hour per crew member but charging me double that with no explanation. Not sure if I was just unlucky or if the company is getting complacent and resting on their reputation but I was very unimpressed and I am generally very easy going with these things and rarely complain about having bad service from anyone."
