"The job took much longer than anticipated. About a month went by between the initial visit and when the job started. An estimate wasn't provided upon request and it was explained that the work was paid hourly and we would see how it progressed. The work was satisfactory but kind of sloppy (paint drops and specks found around the hardwood floor around the area that was painted, paint drops on granite pavers outside). The painting job of the doors had to be completely redone because the wrong paint was used. We bought the wrong paint but were surprised that he, as the professional, didn't know that it was the wrong paint until it started peeling. The re-do of the painting ended up having the job cost much more because of the extra hours billed. We were expecting better quality overall, so that is why we are grading it as a "C" (fair)."
