"It went smoothly exactly as Paul described the job. His crew installed a sump pump and ensured in drained to the curb. The crew replaced the drain run to the curb and dug around the existing bushes. The crew also connected the the roof downspout to the run to the curb.The crew installed a perforated pipe in a trench which created a floating basement floor on 3 sides of the basement. (the 4th wall was not necessary since was an interior wall.) They concreted over the pipe with a gap to the wall. they repaired and painted the basement walls."

"This company is absolutely wonderful beginning with the courtesy when I called to schedule an appointment the first time. Next Jack N who arrived at my home on time and as promised. He provided me estimate for the repair and went over every detail of it with me. When the crew arrived to do the job they were very professional and performed the job as promised. I have a large house that was built in 1902 and was NOT able to find anyone willing to tackle my problem. Acculevel came in and fixed every issue. My house has a tight crawl space but Acculevel was able to replace a beam and the sister joist. In addition provided support and leveled out my floor. "We have been working with Dr. Flue for several years and have had great experiences every time.We are the "call us before the season begins and get a better rate" list - they call ed us in June to set up a cleaning and inspection in August. Date never changed, specific time was confirmed several days in advance and they arrived a few minutes early, even. Techs have been friendly and professional, no hard sells for additional work, but a thorough inspection (pictures to document are provided). Ethically very solid -- told us no need to come back next year, but in two years we should clean again and maybe have some re-pointing done (if necessary then). "We have had two vertical cracks in our basement foundation since we purchased our house in 1997.  The large crack had been repaired by a company, I guess I will not name, when my in laws owned the house.  We had it repaired again by the same company about a year ago.  At that time the foreman on the job explained that sooner or later we would have to have one side of the house piered at a cost of approximately $13,000 - $15,000.  He tried hard to get me to commit to having the repairs scheduled.  We had another company tell us we had to do the same thing for about the same price. <br />    <br /> I saw an article written by Mike suggesting having your foundation inspected by a structural engineer before calling a contractor, and I had also spoke with him at the home and garden show about the same issue.  I decided to call Mike to have him inspect our house.  I phoned Mike on a Friday and made an appointment with BPG for the following Monday.  Mike responded at the time scheduled.  He inspected the issues we were having and made recommendations for fixing the problems.  None of which involved digging up around half my foundation and jacking up the house costing thousands of dollars.  The recommendations were pretty simple and one of them I could do myself with a little time and effort. <br /> I would recommend Mike's services to anyone.  He was professional, responded in a timely manner and I had the engineering designs in two days.  Hiring a structural engineer is the way to go before contacting a contractor.  I would have been out thousands of dollars and my foundation problems would not have been fixed. <br />"

We went with The Basement Guys because their price was less than half what the first company quoted and several hundred less than the second company. The second company offered a teeny discount if we signed a commitment to use them. We're glad we didn't accept the offer.
