"I hired IVG Solar to run the electrical out to a new sauna that I had just built in my backyard. A big project that meant a lot to me to have done right. From beginning to end, Ivan and his team were extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The project took 3 days which included digging a trench in my yard , running a line from my electrical panel and setting up the boxes to the back of the sauna. At each stage in the process, I was shown what they were doing, the materials used and why. Additionally, Ivan connected the wiring inside the sauna which which was not at all straightforward or easy since it was a European model with limited instructions. The project also ended up being more complex and time consuming than originally planned however Ivan stuck to his original quote and did not hit me with an up charge. Something that I appreciated greatly. IVG Solar did an excellent job on my project and my sauna is my pride and joy. They exceeded my expectations in every way and did so with integrity and professionalism. I will gladly hire again for all my future electrical needs."

"Fred and his crew have done excellent work for me. They are always responsive, professional and get the job done with no issues. I will continue to use At Your Service as electrical projects come up around my home. Recently, Fred refunded money to me because he realized that his crew did not use the bulbs that they brought, but were able to reinstall my bulbs. Fred mailed me a refund check right away. I was very pleased with his honesty."

"Evans Electric was very responsive, which is becoming rare for most service providers. We had a 61 yo fuse panel that was a fire hazard and was replaced with a circuit breaker panel. Matt was quick to provide a quote and scheduled the service for the same week. He came on time and finished the job much quicker than we expected. Definitely five star service."

"These guys are the best! I had an EV charger installed and their bid beat the competition by $1k. They arrived when they said they would. They were respectful of our property and our time. There was great communication throughout. And their work was outstanding! The city inspector took five minutes, basically said "these guys obviously knew what they were doing," and he immediately signed off on the work. And Joe, our electrician, is friendly, creative, and efficient-- a real pro! I will definitely use Mr. Electric for all of our future electrical needs!"

"Amazing. Not only were they kind and punctual but they were very accommodating. We had the project started by another electrician who did nothing to code and royally messed up the whole house. They came in to an absolute mess and fixed everything in the time frame that was estimated while accommodating to our schedules. It was clear from the start they had much more knowledge than the other 5 electricians who came to quote us for the job, and their work significantly cut our power bill down. We will be recommending them to anyone and everyone."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Charlotte, NC

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
